Does anyone else take their basses to weird places for photos?

This could be a theme for the photo competition. -
The smaller ‘head’ section has 2 up-firing speakers, which seemed to help with on stage monitoring. That said, when stacked, it’s not exactly very tall, so I suspect that there’s some floor coupling going on too, with this arrangement.

Thx for the update Steve. Happy new year.

I feel inspired… -
Me neither - I've bought at least 12 sets, including the ridiculously cheap £9.99 heavyweight NYXLs, and all have worked on Player's code, and all lasted as expected... I've found DRs to be not really any better, but cost significantly more. Newtone were good, but still not better. Rotosounds hardly lasted at all, Ernie Ball were OK as were Elixir but still no better that D'Addario. Only ones I like slightly more are Labella Super Slaps which were proper zingy.

That's excellent Rob... I've sent you a message.

Hey! I wondered where you’d gone! Hope you’re well? Here are some more pics of that one. It’s a one off Peavey made for Ken Achard (head of Peavey UK operations at the time I think) who was the author of the book The Peavey Revolution. He included a pic of it in that book, and I’d been lusting after it for years. One day it came up for sale and I just couldn’t resist! -
I was wondering about that too. I'm no expert on PJB rigs but i think the smaller box also has speakers facing upwards thru the grill part so i'm guessing you hear it better when its on the floor than stacked on the extension cab. Just guessing tho. Dave

Thank you for posting this. Been scouring BC for gigging testimonials for this pedal. I'm in a situation where the guitarist and myself need to flesh things out more than we do already or we consider using backing tracks for some tunes. Not a route I fancy going down at all after having done a solid year of playing to track a very long time ago. Have you had to change any picking technique or roll off any highs to accommodate the pedal so it doesn't glitch out? Cheers, C

Just the good ones 😎 Dave

I’ve not got luggage scales but using bathroom scales with and without the bass it’s weighing 4.3kg - pretty average for 5st jazz, if you get a nice wide padded strap as I have, it seems to balance it pretty well. I’ve got rheumatoid arthritis and have done multiple 2 hour gigs on this without any issues. Cheers

Oh I should add I want to avoid building pedals for other ppl, not as fun as building for yourself

How does this set up work better than stacked - What's the science behind it?
