  2. If you've got half an hour, this is a long & detailed interview with Townshend, talking quite candidly (and humorously) about his career, his odd relationship with The Who, his solo output & much more. https://www.loudersound.com/bands-artists/interviews/pete-townshend-interview-2025

  11. PRICE NOW DROPPED TO £300. Easily the best speaker cabinet I have ever used: am downsizing to lighter Genz Benz cabs as I rarely play live now. The Eden D210XST Cab is loud enough to be heard and yet still small enough to be used at home or in a small studio. For those players who need a portable, high-performance rig with even more low end than the XLT, Eden has designed a 2 x 10" cabinet for their XST woofers. Punchy and clean, the D210XST produces a full and clear tone through its two 10" speakers. It's excellent for delivering articulate bass lines with volume. This 2 x 10" cabinet handles more power than many 4 x 10" cabs on the market. The D210XST offers huge bottom end with its cleverly-designed tuned and ported cabinet construction and speaker selection: the low end is full but tight, the mids are open and well-defined and the highs are clear and crisp. Durable build quality makes this ideal for touring and live performances. All Eden enclosures are constructed with 5/8" thick void free plywood with full dado and rabbet jointing. Massive internal bracing prevents vibration and keeps the sound deep, tight and clear. Exclusive Eden Cast Frame loudspeakers and Eden Cast Bell low distortion tweeter horns are designed, hand-built and tested in their own factory in the USA. Very Good condition. Comes with an official Eden cover. Power Handling: 500 Watts Impedance: 8 Ohms Speakers: 2x10" Eden-spec Eminence EC1060XS speakers Tweeter: Eden Cast Bell low distortion Crossover: 3.5KHz @ 18dB Frequency Response: 30Hz - 14KHz Sensitivity: 103dB SPL Connections: Parallel 1/4 Inch and Speakon Dimensions: 23" w x 18" h x 18.5" d Weight: 59lbs / 26.8kg NOW ONLY £300. Collection from East London preferred, although happy for buyer to arrange a courier.
  12. Early 60s RSC A10 30watt valve amp, these were a version of the linear concord 30watt amp, sometimes made from kits or as in the case of this one ,bought ready made. My late father bought this in approx 1960 from a shop in Tottenham Court Road. He had it refurbished about 7 years ago, then I had it after he passed away. I haven't used it since I acquired it but it was fully functional prior to my dad's passing.
  13. Teeth marks are from my dog when she was a pup and had a little nibble. Whippet teeth mark relicing is something the Fender custom shop is yet to master.
  14. Pretzel Logic and Aja are brilliant albums, though Royal Scam is my favourite.
  15. That's works with me, I'll send you a PM with the details.
  16. Selling this as no longer needed Only played a few times, still has the plastic on the cavity cover! I put black vinyl on the pickguard which was white originally, this can be peeled off easily Nice bass for the money, smaller neck than a proper Stingray and passive (volume/tone) and a lot lighter! Collection only from Medway, Kent

  17. Pedaltrain Nano in top condition with (soft side) velcro attached. Harley Benton ISO-5 PSU velcro'd to the underside. Cracking little PSU - 5 outputs, two are switchable 9/12/18V, I've had it for a while and used it a lot, it's never missed a beat. Full spec and blurb here: https://www.thomann.co.uk/harley_benton_powerplant_iso_5_pro.htm Includes replacement myvolts power adapter/adaptor (which cost about £17 as I recall) as well as the original (euro plug with clunky adapter/adaptor - it'll do as a spare). The myvolts needs a polarity reverser, (which is also included), the original doesn't. Includes 5 pedal power leads and a reverse polarity lead for the LEDs. And TWO free velcro cable ties! The LEDs are remote controllable, different colours (to match your shoes), they can fade, they can flash in time to the music, they're utterly stupid, pointless and completely fantastic. Includes soft carrying case with decent sized front pocket and shoulder strap. This has never been used and is in mint condition. I'd rather sell these together, but I'll change my tune if they're still here in a week or two. £65 posted or £60 collected from Bewdley DY12 I go to Brum and Worcester a lot, happy to meet up or possibly deliver. Any questions (about the item) please ask.
  18. Fender MIM Strat in tobacco sunburst with maple neck and fretboard. Very good condition, couple of tiny dinks - please see pics Frets and fretboard in tip top shape - only been used at home for practice, never gigged. Includes a decent Ritter gig bag. Selling on behalf of a friend (if that's not allowed, please let me know), the guitar is in Leeds LS7 £400 posted or £385 collected.

  20. Found out his solo band is playing in London on the 18th of August. Sadly I can’t make it.
  21. I / we tend to agree. We put this version together pretty quickly as a way to sneak our own stuff in that format but I'm sure it will evolve. Most of the pubs around here tend to prefer acoustic acts, hence us developing that side of things. We usually have more mandocello / mandolin instrumentation but have added guitar to a couple recently. I'm pleased to say a fair few of the shows coming up are electric so it'll be fun to play electric live shows. I think we have 5 electric shows for 2025 coming up and 8 acoustic shows. so far.
  22. This is the bass I bought from Tony Gaskell for the princely sum of £80. After I sold the Jaguar to Len on here I realised I sort of missed a short scale particularly to have something in the office to noddle on. Anyway the Bronco as you can see has had a couple of mods. The bridge and the pickup are an improvement over the originals but the tuners are pretty dire so I'll need to change those or it will drive me nuts. I may also try to find a black pickguard and some different pots. Despite the tuners tony had the bass set up beautifully and it plays wonderfully well. He didn't do the mods btw he bought it off another guy who had done those and stuck the Fender logo on it. The reason Tony bought it was because he is still gigging around Liverpool and he had found his P bass too heavy in recent years. He is a remarkable man, started his first skiffle group in his final year at school in 1959 and his mum bought him his first proper bass in 1960. That's a picture of him with his first P bass in his band Johnny Templer and the Hi-Cats. They supported the Beatles many times in the early sixties and it was a pleasure and an honour to sit and chat to him about his career in music - he also let me play some of his basses! He is in his eighties now and still enjoys playing gigs and getting paid for it, there is hope for us all!
  23. Yes, I've been watching Vincen for a while. Particularly when he got the Cory Wong gig for the European Tour. He's the seriously brilliant all-rounder we all aspire to be, and also very entertaining to watch.
