  2. Did you hit '1' rather than '2' by mistake 😂 Even being conservative, I think you're a good £500 to £700 under market value at least there.
  3. That's a fairly normal timescale. In August 2019 I dealt with a case of S.20 assault that didn't go to trial until the summer of 2023, almost four years after the offence and three years after the charge was issued. Courts are absolutely rammed at the moment and they have been for years. Cases are often continually pushed back to make room for more complex or more serious cases.

  5. CKK Gears Compressor. Shouldn't be here 😄
  6. After rehearsal tonight, I can only say that this is just a complete misinterpretation, mistranscription of a song. Jeez. It's a train crash. I'm left wondering how to deal with it. I've managed to get the message across about it all being C# for 12 bars but the effort versus reward is stacked against me when we're trying to get gig-ready. It works if I play the bass line as roots of the chords the guitarists play (of course) but it's a butcher's shop of a song after the reprise. I'm struggling to see how whoever got it that wrong/different. Not only that but the arrangement is different inasmuch as there's extra bits and missing bits compared to the original. What have we learned? Well, you might not be as rubbish as they or you think they are, you might be a genuine bass god but those around you haven't got the memo yet. On the other hand, I might just be part of a really elaborate wind up. Fortunately, it's a band of people that are very balanced and OK with challenging anything. It's a rare thing.
  7. I was pleased to see Ashdown PR today “built British” etc 2026 is British Manufacturing etc
  8. If you are looking for a top end preamp in a pedal format then look no further than the Jad Freer Capo.
  9. Incredible work, that is absolutely amazing, fabulous 😍 👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
  10. I understand you're using a Caveman preamp and compressor, plus a vintage Boss chorus. What other pedals are you using?
  11. Bruno Mars - Treasure Stevie - Sir Duke (I've nailed the bass/brass break, but should probably learn the rest of the song...) Olivia Dean - So Easy To Fall In Love Stuff I'm enjoying playing that isn't for our set: Sabrina Carpenter - Espresso Lizzo - About Damn Time
  12. I've fitted a drop D tuner on a lot of my basses including my Warwick Thumb NT, I absolutely love them. Only way I could get mine to fit was indeed as you've suggested @Shaggy Only one side of tuners needed shifting to make it work, and to this day after being fitted for around 16/17 years nobody has ever commented on the tuners being in the wrong place! Bit of a stretch to reach that A tuner mind 😂
  13. Bought from the Juan Alderete Reverb store when he had his big clearout. Had it shipped to the uk and professionally changed to UK voltage and the thru jack nut added (as it was missing/fallen off) Everything works perfectly and if you’re looking for a justification of why you should have a bigger heavier Khan DI, well these work as a passive DI 😇 you can also turn the tube on or off on the Thru. Since arriving, I’ve taken it to the studio, done a NAM capture and moved it from box to box in the house.

  14. Velcro applied, 3 holes drilled underneath for some reason. Newer style bag. Not really a lot else to say.

  16. I love these, they are so well made and super adaptable. I wouldn’t trade mine for another type.
  17. Will take £75 for this
  18. There are 2 stereo Ernie ball, 2 mono Ernie balls and then 3 misc. I just have way to many misc things lying around currently. Open to offers if you don’t think I’ve priced it fairly.
  19. Good condition, full working condition just gone unused since I got my Cosmic Ears IEMs. https://europe.beyerdynamic.com/p/dt-990-pro?srsltid=AfmBOopuTll-6-lqys-r9elMFuaroilmZRy17PtNhXR3Ok9lGtXBY59l
  20. I love The Letter.
  21. Overview. This gear review covers the Ashdown 12-Band 600. This is actually the first Ashdown amp I’ve ever owned, I bought it in February 2025 and it was pre owned. It was as a result of how impressed I was with it that has resulted in me playing through Ashdown amps exclusively. Disclaimer: I’m just a dude who gigs in a few projects and bands, I am by no means a professional reviewer. All views are my own and I have not received any payment or other incentives to write this piece. I only review gear that I actually own or have access to through musician friends. Build Quality. The 12-Band 600 is made in the UK, although, I think Ashdown might have stopped making them now. Just like every other Ashdown amp I’ve ever encountered, it’s built like a tank. It’s also rack mountable and fits in a 2u rack case. It’s reassuringly heavy but not ridiculous and is an easy one handed carry in the Gator rack case I’ve got it in. Dimensions & Power. Width, 19” (483mm). Depth, 13” (331mm). Height, 4” (101mm). Weight: 12.2kg (just the amp, not in the rack case). Power: 300 watts into 8 ohms, 600 watts into 4 ohms. Knobs & Switches. One of the things I love about this amp is that, apart from the VU metre, it’s incredibly tactile. As a blind player this is fantastic as it makes my life so much easier. All of the buttons are of the push button type that stay in when engaged, making it incredibly easy to feel what’s what. The power switch is a large push button and again, nice and tactile with a positive clunk when switching on and off. The knobs are all nice and large with a clearly defined indent to indicate what position they are set to. The EQ sliders are also nice and solid feeling with a centre detent. The Harmonic Emphasis knob does not have a centre detent, although I wouldn’t expect it to. The Input Gain and Master Volume controls are notched just like on my ABM. As a totally blind player what it enables me to do is set the input gain for any of my basses incredibly easily simply by counting the notches. I just spent a bit of time making a note on my phone of which setting is correct for each of my basses. Amp Controls. Front Panel. Input knob (top). Instrument 1/4” input jack (bottom). XLR input socket (to the right of 1/4” input jack). VU metre. Harmonic Emphasis knob (bottom). Harmonic emphasis push button (bottom). 12 Band Graphic EQ (cut or boost 15db): 30Hz. 40Hz. 60Hz. 100Hz. 180Hz. 340Hz. 660Hz. 1.3KHz. 2.6KHz. 5KHz. 10KHz. 15KHz. Equalisation engage push button (bottom). DI Pre/Post push button (bottom). DI XLR socket (bottom): This is not effected by the master output control. Master Output knob (bottom). Mute push button (bottom): Mutes all outputs except Tuner out. LED underneath Mute button illuminates blue when mute is engaged. Power push button (top). Tuner Out 1/4” jack (underneath power button, left). Line Out 1/4” jack (underneath power button, right). Rear Panel. IEC power cable socket. Effects Return 1/4” jack (top). Effects Send 1/4” jack (top). Speak-on speaker out socket (bottom). Speaker out 1/4” jack (bottom). Sound Quality. This amp is clean, not pristine hi fi clean but powerful solid state clean. It’s got a lot of head room, the graphic EQ is fantastic and incredibly easy to use, not to mention it has that lovely solid state heft behind it. The Harmonic Emphasis feature can bring out some really nice brightness if you want it to. I tend to set this control to around the 12-1 o’clock position as it gives me the extra harmonic content but isn’t too excessive or harsh. It’s very responsive, there is a feeling of immediacy when playing and thanks to the extensive EQ it’s possible to dial in pretty much any tone you want. This amp is also a fantastic platform for effects pedals. I run an over drive pedal into the front of the amp to add a little grit and texture to my tone when I need it and run a chorus and synth through the effects loop. The amp takes it like a champ and they all sound great through it. Conclusion. I’m a big fan of solid state amps and this does not disappoint at all. It’s clean, powerful and does not quit when pushed, I like it a lot. Interestingly, I had planned on selling this amp this year and had even listed it. Not because I didn’t like it, but simply because I’ve hardly used it since getting my ABM. I auditioned for a function band recently however and took the 12-Band 600. The truth is, I had forgotten just how good this amp is. It sounded fantastic, so much so that even the band I was auditioning for commented on how good my sound was. I did get the gig and I will be using this amp with that band for sure. If you are a blind player then it would be worth checking out any of the Ashdown amps, as in terms of tactile controls that are nicely spaced out and chunky enough to actually find, they are all pretty much the same as far as I can tell, although their layout does vary depending on the model. 22. I'd be all over those Ibanez if they made it passive...
  23. Decided that playing only fivers would be a good idea for the originals band so took the HB MB5 to rehearsal tonight. I need more fiver practice (despite using it on Monday for a couple of songs). But it did put a grin on the lead guitarist's face (he's really a bass player). Also came up with a meme to sum up my evening... Yes, one song's arrangement got to the point where I bemoaned our lack of a flip chart or whiteboard.
  24. Gewa BS 25 Double Bass Bag 3/4 Looking to get rid of. Happy to give away for free. Collection only. I don't have much space to keep it around, so will be looking to throw away towards the end of Feb. Just in case someone wants a case. Used for 10+ years so general wear and tear (show in pictures, do message and ask for more if needed) Handle by bridge has slight rip through, can be an easy fix by sowing a patch/securing on if you are good with your hands. All other handles are fine. Wheels for easy transportation (wheels are in great condition, I don't really use them so has good amount of life left) Has shoulder straps (tucked away as I don't use them) so should still hold well. 25mm of padding, sufficient to keep protected - been protected enough travelling in and out of London. Faux leather parts have been peeled off with age. Dimentions: Total length: 186 Body Length: 112 Upper Body Width: 53 Lower Body Width: 67 Height inc. Bridge: 45
  25. The reason I like the Fender HiMass is that the saddles cannot wander laterally unlike a BBoT. Also I like how they look.
