  1. Past hour
  2. I’m exactly the same. Even though I know IEM’s are undoubtedly a good route to take, I know they’re just not for me I’m afraid. Fortunately doing what I do now, it’s not a problem - with the acoustic duo I mostly use a Rumble 100 combo, and anything else with electric just the 500 version. Loud gigs are definitely now a thing of the past for me, which I’m very happy about as I still have a reasonable quality of hearing left!
  3. Did that on the FI v3 a while ago. It’s a bit slower than the proper tempo. Tracking on the v4 is much better than what is heard here: https://m.soundcloud.com/peter-kenney-750235819/qm-aint-noboday-2a
  4. Regarding trades, i’d definitely prefer cash, but i’m always open to hearing potential offers in case it’s something I really want! I could do some recordings over the next few days possibly
  5. Unfortunately, I no longer have it. It was resold on here, after I sold it when I stopped giging I loved it gigged it everywhere, dives, pubs, clubs, weddings, festivals (2 x Huge Scout Jamborees really) Fed it into a Trace AH350SMX, Trace 2x10, and Trace baby 15 it sounded brilliant. It was the quilted one. I much prefer yours's though
  6. tiny bit of heat and cotton thread, it wasn't stuck on there that well in the first place........GO FOR IT, scratch plates are sooooooo 1980's🤣 (IMHO) what the combination on your's? rosewood? quilted?
  7. Cry - Godley & Creme
  8. Ironically it wasn’t the Schallers which failed on me. I have just replaced all the Schaller locks with the Dunlop locks as I feel they are a superior solution. Last week I just didn’t pop the strap part into the button properly, and it fell out during the first song 😆 I think Dunlops are a better design (despite my ineptitude) and should have listened to @skelf 11 years ago when I got my first ACG; better late than never I have seen the light and learnt how to use them properly 🤣
  9. I didn't, it's a 2006 model sourced from Bass Direct a while ago. Sounds wonderful 🙂
  10. I always wanted to take the scratch plate off my 20th Anni, but was terrified of ruining it. How was it accomplished ? Lovely bass BTW GLWTS

  14. I The only time I don't bother to lug my gear in from the boot of my car is when I turn up at the open mic practice studio/venue and see a GP7 or if super lucky, a 12 by contrast I played a smaller stage at Guildfest the weekend before last. We sounded great up front as we had quality PA support and a great sound guy but the provided amp was a 100 watt Orange combo and while it sounded great fully cranked for the punky stuff ... it had no clean headroom at all the gain had to be up at max and my compressor squeezing the hell out of it to audible on stage . Theres
  15. Angry Angry - John Paul Jones
  16. I've had my eye on this pedal for a while (I loved the Chunk stuff!), and the builder just started accepting pre-orders again. And now, here it is! The only thing that has held me back is the distinctive lack of demos. Don't suppose you want to give some shaky phone cam footage to show just how close to the original it is? Assume you're not looking for any trades?
  17. Hello everyone, Having upgraded both my touring and backup boards to Cioks power supplies, this is now surplus to requirements. It has recently been serviced and re-capped, and everything works well. It comes with a useful amount of standard 2.1mm pedal leads in both short & long lengths, including the Voodoo Labs 18V adaptor lead, and a pair of mounting brackets. Also included, but not photographed, is a brand-new Thomann UK kettle/IEC lead. Everything is in used, but good overall condition, and ready to go to work! EDIT: Now just £75 for the lot, which includes mainland UK postage. No offers or trades please. Please message me if interested, and thanks for looking! Etienne
  18. I’ve owned 3 over the years. Ibanez Roadstar; Fender Precision; Spector Spectorcore 5. Now I only have a NS NXT electric upright as my fretless. I do keep thinking it would be nice to have another fretless to use when the upright feels a bit too big. But to achieve that one of the 4 fretted would need to go, perhaps I should change a neck 🤔
  19. Hi @PaulThePlug - just had a look through your build - you were certainly more adventurous than me! I have toyed with the idea of putting a decal on the headstock, but not sure if it should also be upside down, or the right way up for the way it is played. More obsessive thought required methinks! Did you just lay that on the top, or lacquer over it? My Chinese neck has a really shiny lacquer on it so don't really want to spoil that by sanding it down or over spraying. I also don't want to spoil it! It's my first mod/build that I haven't really ballsed up in any major way and therefore for the first time I am pretty satisfied and not feeling depressed about it lol! I tried a more modded version of my green Squier P5 (the other one in the pic) but the supposedly identical model I used had a banana neck and could never get the pickup placement right....
  20. This is of zero use to me so any sensible offer will be considered
  21. Today
  22. A bit of paper or beer mat will do at a pinch but I'd rather have the matchsticks.
  23. Damn! Love it! I'll do it!
  24. Saw them in a pub in Swansea late 80s, I think. 😀
  25. Hey mate. Keen for this! And I’m in Bristol. Happy to collect. Let me know. John
