  1. Past hour
  2. Happy New Year everybody! Can anybody please identify what book the attached random page came from as I would like to buy the book? I found itvtucked in the back of an entirely different book I bought from a charity shop, and I like this particular layout. I've been searching and searching for a match using AI and all sorts, but with no luck. Thank you all very much.
  3. Hello to you. Welcome aboard. How was your bank balance?
  4. @EddieG hasn't been on this site since June 2025, I hope he's OK.
  5. I think there's a whole 'nother thread specifically with you in mind! The "Gear Absinthe 2026" thread, or something similar...
  6. Is it bad up your way ? I'm not too bad as have 4x4 Subaru but its never an easy drive in snowy conditions no matter what you drive. I see on news Amber warning out now and not drive unless you need to. Dave
  7. How did it end ??
  8. It er, doesn’t exist quite yet but we are all for helping newbies here - 🐻 with us
  9. How did it end ???
  10. I think my point is that beginners don’t know what is actually simple and what is not a video of it being played plus tab for reference however might make something feel achievable
  11. One of my all-time favourite bassist and such a great bloke too. His playing was both melodic and groovy and ALWAYS made the songs better.
  12. Wise move I think!
  13. While I didn't use them for this, I have been perusing Cathy's Custom Guitars on Facebook. They don't sell from the page, you need to PM one of the site mods. They seem to do four main (Gibson copy) guitars, Les Paul, SG, Vees and Explorers, although I gave seen 335.
  14. Me too, I got a belt after being impressed with the strap quality. It’s way better than any leather belt I’ve ever bought from a shop
  15. Probably just as well as the journey might have been, let’s say interesting.
  16. Free Fallin' - Tom Petty
  17. Wifey just found a photo album from our first holiday together in the early 80's. Damn but we were both so thin and I was batting waaaaay out of my league 🤣

  18. Now that i'm playing a bit less hard with my right hand plucking its changed "my tone" from a hard edgy Ric type rock sound to a more mid focused mellower punch with more depth. Think what i'm saying is that simple little changes in style do affect how i sound out front. Please note i'm on the JD Honey tonight as tomorrows gig in Dundee was cancelled as their boiler / heating system has failed and can't get parts till Monday. Dave
  19. Hey everyone! 20. I had a set of Animas ( sold them on here!). The de tuned sports are a different beast to normal orchestral strings. If you’re ever in Bristol give em a go.
  21. Go with songs you like to listen to as a starting point, probably avoiding those with what are considered advanced/busy bass lines, at least to start with.
  22. I am definitely interested in this beginners corner!
  23. The BH250 was the first class-d head I owned and it's scary to think these have been around for over a decade now. Great little amps and featured packed for not much cost. Surprisingly loud as well for such a compact unit. Also make a great desktop recording interface and home practice amp with the headphone out. I've just bought another small class-d head or I would have jumped at such a bargain. Jezz is a top dude, buy with confidence! GLWTS.
