I have just gone through a lot of my studio / PA gear and removed the excess insert and patch cables etc. and have gathered together quite a collection of connectors. Some of the items are brand new never been used but all are in great condition and fully functional. I could be persueded to a bulk buy reduction. Postage would be based on how many and destination. The table below gives as much info on model / style as I know.

For sale are my used but not abused EMS 500 19" rack cases. The 2 racks are available separately or together. Both racks are set up the same and currently assembled as 6U but can be reconfigured as 3U, 6U, 9U or 12U with removable top. The lower rack is currently assembled to a board with castors which isn't included in the sale and will be removed before shipping.........unless you really, really want it and then it would be an extra £20 and whatever the increased postage is. These are quite special cases as they are modular construction where you can increase or decrease the number of rack spaces by easily adding or removing side and end panels. All you need is an allen key! You can also use them with a mixer installed in the top and the top panel can be easily removed! See the photo of how I had the units set up for my band PA. (None of the rack equipment is included.) All catches etc are in good condition. Rack to rack depth is 48cm. Weight per 6U assembly is 18lbs / 8.2kg. See the attached brochure for more details. The 6U Gator version of this case weighs 13lbs so slightly lighter but is NOT as rigid, road resilient or has the flexiblity options. As these are modular I would propose they are dismantled and flat packed for shipping to reduce the cost. I'll give details on how to re-assemble if you need but its quite straight forward. I've estimated UK postage to be £15 per unit. 6U Rack Unit 1 - the upper 6U rack unit in the photos on its own - £90 6U Rack Unit 2 - the lower 6U rack unit in the photos on its own - £90 Both 6U rack cases - £160 Board with castors - £20 EMS.pdf

For sale is my Tech21 MidiMoose pedal. I have had 2 of these in the past and this one is now surplus to requirements. In great, fully functional condition with only slight scuffing on a couple of corners. The pedal is robust and great for sending midi messages to other midi equipment / synths / DAW / effects etc. I used it with my TC G-Major. Powered by either a wall wart (supplied) or more usually a single 9v battery. Here a link to the Tech21 website and operating manual - Tech21. The pedal is simple to use and integrates into any midi system. It has been superceded by the Midi Mongoose a slightly smaller unit with less function switches (usually £150-ish). Shipping in the UK £5.

For sale is my TC Electronic GMajor-2 multi effects unit in fully working condition and updated to the latest firmware. Pictures show it in its usual rack home (rack not included). Although most of the standard effects are aimed at the guitarist I have found the compressor, gate, flanger, phaser and octaver (up and down) etc. to be very useable for bass. I can either factory reset before shipping or leave the presets I have created intalled. It has built in EQ, noise gate, compressor, reverbs, delays, wahs, octaver, tremolo, phaser, flanger etc each of which can be switched in / out from the front panel as required. I have been using this via my amps effects loop and found the compressor (and all the effects) just add their effect without changing the fundamental sound of the bass. Comes with original box and operating manual. You can use the unit in your DAW as well as with your bass / guitar etc. Patches can be easily selected from the front panel or attach a midi-pedal (I used a MidiMoose which is for sale seperately on here). There is also some Vyzor software you can download from the net which allows you to interface your PC with the GMajor-2 to edit and backup your user patches. I have also attached the GMajor-2 and Vyzor manuals below. tc_electronic_g-major_2_manual_english.pdfVyzor_G-Major2_Quick-Start.pdf I estimate UK shipping about £10 to £15.

The Fender Fuzz arrived earlier this week and the Plum was built by our very own @BabyBlueSound and arrived this afternoon. It's a Prunes and Custard clone and it's wonderful. Looks and sounds awesome

Food now sorted. I've arranged for a special tea delivery for @ossyrocks from Farrers Tea & Coffee merchants in Kendal, they're sending a local van just for me, and a local dairy farm has helped chip in with milk. The village hall will be open from around 08:00 for people to get in. Will anybody apart from myself (and possibly @neepheid) be coming at that time? The intention is to finish around 16:00 (ish) as I have to be in York later than evening. Rob

I think the Quadrophenia bass tone is absolutely beautiful. I'd love to hear an isolated track. There's an awful isolated Real Me on YouTube but it sounds like one of those dodgy ones where the individual tracks have been picked out by computer rather than the actual track, it's extremely poor quality and not what we hear on the album. Mind you, the mix on Quadrophenia is so biased toward the bass (at least on the vinyl) that there isn't that much mystery as to what he sounds like.

Hi all, I have decided to part ways with this wonderfully versatile Flyrig V2. I am doing quite of lot of gigs which requires a more vintage sound and the Sansamp / SVT sound, whilst great and I do see it's merits and place, just doesn't work as well in the setting I am currently in. I know I can use it without the Sansamp sound but then what is the point of that!? I may as well just have a DI box... It's immaculate, with original PSU, tin and instructions. Some great instant sounds and being the version 2, you have the effects loop plus extra controls and channel settings on the sansamp. I used it the other night and it performed flawlessly, but it just doesn't suit what I am doing and can't afford to have multiple pedals laying around. The octafilter is a funny one but I found it to be really usable. Definitely worth a look at the tutorial videos online from Tech 21 to see how to get the best from it. £190 to your door, would be happy to look at a straight swap for a Microbass 3, or discuss a deal with something similar but I would like something with an FX loop so I know that limits my options. It isn't a deal breaker but is preferred.

Second track from the Michel Camilo 'Suntan' album, this is 'Tombo in 7:4'. I did this one for me. It is 10 pages long and took me three days to complete. It's less messy than cutting..... https://bilbosbassbites.co.uk/tombo-in-74-michel-camilo/

There's nothing funny about it. It's a fact. The secret of a great bass tone is that on it's own it should be almost unlistenable. Check out any band in the rock fraternity who the bass player is renowned for their tone. It'll be much, much harsher than you think when you inevitably find it on YouTube isolated. When I've recorded bass players in the studio you'd be surprised how many don't know this and even when they want a "clean" tone are surprised when I make it sound like an overdrive tube amp. Even a dirty tone if you want to hear thr top end is way more crazy than most people think. This is why I despise Glyn Johns as he took Entwistle's tone from him for arguably the best material The Who ever did.

Is this a Japanese made one - rather than the description thats appearing on some similar bases on Reverb / Bass Bros etc "ATELIER Z DESIGN is a new series from ATELIER Z, a long-established domestic brand that is supported by a wide range of genres, both professional and amateur. It achieves high cost performance through overseas production, and is a series with reliable quality while being affordable." So presuming its not the "design" version - cant quite make out the headstock finer details - I do like the look of this
