  1. Past hour
  2. Nice looking bass. How is it regarding not feeding back, any good?
  3. What about casters and a dog lead?
  4. I’ve acquired one of these too this year, mine is in black though. Nice little basses.
  5. That's exactly the reason I sold mine, many years ago - I was used to the weight of a Thumb and there was this featherweight thing, great to play but felt so insubstantial. I'd rather like a 5-string now, decades later.
  6. Thanks everyone for your patience. The amp is now finished and working, and it sounds bloody great. The Bright switch on the normal channel didn't do much with a 120pF cap so I put in a 3-way switch to choose between off, 250pF, and 500pF. All the legends are on and I have made a fairly quick-release rear grille. I measured the output and with a 1kHz sine wave it is just starting to break up at 100W. I am kind of tempted to gig the amp tonight (45 min support slot at a blues club) but I should really give it a more extended test at a rehearsal before I take any chances. Following the Imgur debacle I have gathered together most of my build pics here:
  7. I love the headstock on that SHR s-s. Certainly increases your choice of off-the-peg hard cases.
  8. Agreed 100%. Let them sweat over finding your replacement, and meanwhile good luck with your new band.
  9. Ditto. Tell them you have commitments with your new band.
  10. Although it is a bit of a pain, £25 doesn't seem too much considering that you be getting less money second hand anyway
  11. Overdone the spend there, Chris……
  12. Maybe Thomastik Mittel? https://gollihurmusic.com/string-identification-chart/?srsltid=AfmBOopRtE2v9_XNVvvqIRkJFcNdT1s9s-ahwVcRhF1Fp5Dq9Qej5Q7P
  13. I'm Only Happy When it Rains - Garbage
  14. Hi Phil - I think its around 9lb weight - I can actually weigh it if you want an exact answer thanks Best Michael
  15. It does seem to be a recurring theme for most music shops, especially those in the more "out of the way places", loads of electric and acoustic six string guitars, a handful of generic other instruments.
  16. So reading the manual, am I right that you could have 3 presets? It says in the manual that using a dual footswitch you can set what the footswitch does by pressing it and setting the controls. That means you could have two for the footpedals, and one for the button? In which case I can emulate a footswitch with my midi controller so that would be fine
  17. Anyone tried or using the JB-2 as their main bass? What are your thoughts and experience about it? Looking for a budget beater bass where I can mod in the future and keen to go this route rather than get a Fender MIM jazz and the likes. I like the symmetrical shape of it too as well as the demos I’ve seen online. I’m just surprised that they are cheap. Most reviews and demos are 12 years ago. Hope their build quality is good. Anything I should know of about before I pull the trigger? Looking to get either of these from guitarguitar:
  18. Yep, it's a lost art. All amps should be like that. Loads of controls, features and coolness.
  19. Epiphone EB3 SG Bass in lovely cherry red finish This is the long scale version 34" scale no dings or noticeable scratches or gouges looks and plays great , DIY mirrored scratch plate (can be removed) i prefer the look of the bass without a pickguard. This has also been fitted with a strap button adapter This balances the bass perfectly and eliminates the notorious Epiphone/ Gibson neck dive this too can be removed if preferred, but it does make the bass much more comfortable to play The Rosewood fretboard has been stained to look like ebony(looks much nicer)see the difference in the pictures. Only selling due to upgrading to a new Gibson Model. unfortunately i don't have a spare case for this so would prefer pick up.from Cambs pe285ap i would consider a trade or PX for a solid body short scale , Any thing considered except Gibson or epiphone as i already have a EB3 short scale.

  20. Thanks, Mokl. I was running two as a vertical stack – best live sound I've ever had!
  21. A rare premium Ibanez sound gear 6 string bass guitar. Made in Indonesia. If you are looking at this, you know how good they are! this one comes with the original hardcase, a strap and the manual. I tried to take enough photos to show some bumps but the neck is perfect and playability is superb. Strung with flatwounds so no need to ever change them! Reason for selling is only because 4 strings is more than enough for me and I am doing a clear out! Collection only! No trades unfortunately...
  22. This is like the Swiss army knife of basses, has best of both the Fender and Musicman world. I Remember once trying it in the 90s and said I must have one some day. Honestly, I don't even know what all the buttons do Unfortunately It has to go with some other kit because it's not getting used enough...
  23. Up for sale is this Active Westone Thunder 1A Fresless Bass Guitar. Rare vintage instrument! Made in Japan Comes with a hardcase Collection only! No trades unfortunately...
