Al Krow Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago (edited) Been asked by daughter (who's a music teacher!) to help research the above slide which she wants to include in a lesson. Going round clockwise - pics not hugely clear, but where I've got to is: 1. ?? Elvis lookalike 2. Chuck Berry 3. Beatles 4. Freddie Mercury 5. Beach Boys 6. Black Sabbath (obvs, haha!) 7. ?? Band with Ronnie Wood in? 8. ?? C&W star 9 ?? BB King If you recognise any of 1, 7, 8 or 9 please share your thoughts! Edited 15 hours ago by Al Krow Quote
Dad3353 Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago 1 - Elvis, no doubt at all. 7 - Rolling Stones (Gretsch bass drum, so...) 8 - The late Toby Keith 9 - I'd plump for Earl King ??? (pretty certain it's not BB King; he never played Strats...) 1 Quote
Al Krow Posted 15 hours ago Author Posted 15 hours ago Amazing - thanks! 7. I couldn't pick out the younger Mick Jagger from the pic and the drummer looked unfamiliar to me, but makes sense! 1 Quote
Downunderwonder Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago BbKing playing a strat which has a giant ginger cat for a neck???? I can't un see it. Charlie Watts was the old man in the Rolling Stones, with a regular haircut, check. 1 1 Quote

BassAgent Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago That guy with the Strat...I know that photo. At first I thought it might be Buddy Guy, but it isn't. It also isn't BB King. I have to google this extensively. Quote
BassAgent Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Found it! It's Johnny Heartsman. Bay Area blues artist. 4 1 Quote

chris_b Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago The photo is too small for me to see, but The Ronnie Wood band should be The Birds. Quote

Nope, definitely the Rolling Stones third era (the first being with Brian Jones and the second with Mick Taylor) for one photographed rehearsal of Some Girls in 1978, with Ronnie Wood, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, Bill Wyman (with his Travis Bean TB2000 bass) and Mick Jagger. And if you don't recognise them, it's time for an eye check as it's more than obvious: Click twice on the image so see it in full definition. The rest of the unknowns have now been correctly named. 12 hours ago, Dad3353 said: 1 - Elvis, no doubt at all. And in Jailhouse Rock, press photo of 1957. 1 Quote
