Do I, as robust gentleman of 6'4" with gorillaesque hands, want one?  Probably.

I am significantly smaller than that but I don't think I want a fretless that small with how terrible my intonation is even on a full scale.

At what point does it just become a violin?

This is in the Colchester store, saw it there a while back. It's such an incredibly niche instrument that they will struggle to sell it!

If anyone is interested, send them an offer via email, they tend to be quite negotiable on the niche things that haven't sold in a while.

Cash Converters seem to have cottoned on. Only a few years ago, they'd have sold this for £85 thinking it was a toy.

I'm sure they still tried to offer the previous owner £50 for it though.

Feel kinda sorry for any bass player who had to let that go to CC.....

I'm sure they do their checks, but makes you wonder why someone who made the decision to purchase such a niche bass would decide to part with it via CC? I guess there are all sorts of scenarios which could explain it....

I've found a few choice things in CC over the years...

Years ago in the Basildon one, I found the very first Warwick Vampyre ever made, serial 1001. Confirmed by Hans P Wilfer via email.

Also recently found a Gibson Les Paul Studio signed by 30 or so legends including Steven Tyler, Alice Cooper, Duff McKagan, Tony Iommi, Meat Loaf etc. Again, independently confirmed.

Some odd treasures do pop up in CC from time to time!

I doubt they do many checks. There was a pair of Foderas at one a couple of years ago, up for sale at about £2K. IIRC they were top of the line - £25K new.

There was no way they weren't stolen.
