Muppet Posted May 2 Share Posted May 2 Lovely lovely lovely. It's what I use with my ABM750 nearly all the time! Really light, with wheels and handles and excellent deep but tight bass. Lozz196 Posted May 2 Share Posted May 2 They are lightweight, they are loud, but be prepared to make a change in your eq. Being uncoloured they really change the sound of an existing set-up and it takes a while to get it back (unless the uncoloured version is preferred of course). For me I moved away from BF as I found that I preferred the coloured sounding cabs but I’d never knock them, they’re great products and will handle pretty much anything. 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Absolutely incredible cab, louder than you could ever need unless you are playing in the worlds biggest outdoor festival with absolutely no PA support. fretmeister Posted May 2 Share Posted May 2 It's a very good cab. I swapped back to barefaced 10 inch cone stuff just because I preferred the sound. My amp is quite uncoloured so I needed more colouration from the cab. But if I had an amp with more character then I'd be very happy to have a Super twin again. Probably just needed somebody who knew how to eq. But I could not get a bad sound from that amp using my MB Classic 410 or a couple of Aguilar db112. Merton Posted May 3 Share Posted May 3 Brilliant cab. I use one with my TE1200; I’ve used it for punishingly loud bands and it hasn’t batted an eyelid with the TE. I have to say I find the Barefaced 10s “easier” and as @Lozz196 says, you need to consider your EQ a bit with these. I ended up setting up a switchable 10 band EQ on my HX Effects to soften the mids a bit and it’s perfect. So for me, 10s for the smaller gigs with PA support and 12s for the gigs where I have no PA to help. 3 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You will sound louder, clearer, your dispersion will improve and your back won't hurt. As @Lozz196 says, you're sound will change. IMO it's not just a change, it's a night and day improvement, because you won't have a cab changing the sound of your amp anymore. You may be surprised what your amp actually sounds like. Get your ears tuned in and you'll love the sound. I bought my first BF cab in 2015 and haven't used any other make since. BassAdder60 Posted May 4 Author Share Posted May 4 (edited) I’ve listened to the 310 and ST comparison on the BF website and I think I prefer the clarity of the ST The 10” sound warm and vintage yet the 12” sound more modern and what you put in is what you get out, I prefer that I think as I can remove EQ or add EQ but not if it’s baked in to the speakers. ossyrocks Posted May 4 Share Posted May 4 I’m using a pair of Super Compacts now. This is my first weekend away with them both, four gigs in total. But I’m using them as a modular rig, two gigs with one cab, two gigs with two. They “say” a pair of Super Compacts is the same as a Super Twin, although I do wonder. I’ve had four of the BF 10” cabs, and when I got these 12”s it took me time to get used to them, they are very different. The 10’s are far more coloured in comparison. I’m getting used to them now though. I do sort of desire a 12 that sounds more like the 10 in that rounded rolled off top, old school way, but I can get there with amp choice and eq. 3 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
