Funny that we're on an Octaver kick, since I just got a Boss OC-5. I already have a MXR BOD, but I have two boards now and I wanted something with a nice octave up. In Vintage mode it gives me a digital octave up and a OC-2 style analog octave down. I watched a few videos before buying, but I'm discovering that even just a little of the +1 fattens the tone considerably, which I like and wasn't expecting. Still learning.

The other pedal I got at the same time was a Landlord FX Cheeky Pint compressor, which I'm still dialling in a bit. Super cheap but seems solid enough. At the highest volume & compression, I seem to be clipping it a little if I play hard. By comparison, my Orange Kongpressor can take 12V and runs on 18V internally ... but cost me 5x as much.

Just got this from Ebay. Found this easier to tweak than the Doom2. I barely use the eq sections of the latest version anyway.

I have been thinking about getting this pedal for about two months. I must say now, that it is the best bass overdrive I have ever tried. I love the sounds I can get from it

… I can’t make out the manufacturer, who is it please?

FTelettronica - they make really excellent clones of some classic pedals. The Amianto (Animato clone) is very good too.

Just got this tiny Chase Bliss Faves for 40 quid baragainous!
The CBF,
you know it could be said this possibly the most boring pedal in the world being just a switching unit but it’s turned the Meris Enzo from a mind-boggling mega struggle to a very usable slightly less mind-boggling enjoyable effort!  Looking to level up to DMC or Morningstar with expression ped once i master the sonicenzosphere 🤘🏽

My latest haul.

Annoyingly after hunting for months for a 442 filter I picked up this one which I’m fairly sure is the guitar model, then a few days later I’ve come across two more one of which is definitely the bass model so I’ve picked that up.

The difference is likely subtle and for all I know this one could be modded to bass specs as you could request it from Mojo Hand at the time before they split them off to two models.

Orange pedal in the middle is a hand painted 1 of 1 Zvex Concert Bass Super Duper.

Going to be a fun week as soon as my birth year Rickenbacker turns up.

just got this new compressor from Sonicake, supposedly a 1176 in a 1590a box. just had a quick test and its on the subtle side, but good enough for most (of my own) application. no low end loss even with the Blend completely off, LED color changes with the amount of compression applied (a bit slow to react tho) Overall it will not replace my Cali76TXPL, but will keep this one for my cheap 1590a setup. IMO best bass compressor below £40 new.

@lee650 could be worth a punt.

I have a spring reverb that I bought about 40+ years ago when planning to build a guitar combo.

Always fancied using it... is it a worthwhile effect for bass or does it just add mud?

It could be called - vintage reverb.
