What a lovely rainy day down I the south of England today 🙄 I wanted to play bass for absolute years but never really was committed enough. So beginning of march I brought myself a very cheap £60 encore E4 to test the waters. Since I've brought it I've fitted two different sets of strings and had it completely set up to as near perfect as possible. I've also managed to get worse at playing it so started taking lessons, two down now still biblically bad. None the less I look forward to being good enough to move on to my next bass. He has the choice of 4,5, or even 6 strings...Fretless, fretted, slanted frets...fitted with roundwounds, flatwounds or tapewounds... Needless to say you've probably put a strain on his bank balance and, in the not too distant future, his long term relationship. They'll probably name you in divorce proceedings. I started a few years ago and was dire for months, bad for a while and am now tolerable.
