Heavy looking stripey bu99er.

Never seen one of these before. If he hadn't made that mistake with the price & stuck an extra '9' on, I might have had a punt.

That bridge looks gorgeous

Schaller 460, for Gibson 2-point mounting. Got one in my spares box for a project that never happened.

I remember there was a WEM location in Chertsey, Surrey - I had an unbranded 1x15 cabinet that lacked any sort of front grille and my old dad took me over to the place and got a couple of square metres of heavy plasticky stuff to protect the speaker cone.

Watkins also used to sell bodies and necks direct to the public - when I was at school one of the guys we used to jam with built a Super Six model with his dad.  Unfinished (second) body, 3-a-side headstock; it played OK but the bridge was mispositioned and it never really intonated 100%.  There was also an older guy who lived near me, who had a Type W bass (a single cut, Les Paul style thing) and a Dominator combo!

I trust it not. Old pitted hardware on what looks like an unplayed newly built body.

How can that neck plate be pitted like that without a scratch or ding on the body and neck?

Some of the other of their listings seem to stretch the imagination as well.

Maybe they buy some of this stuff in good faith from rogues.

Anyone recognise what make that pickup is? They don't seem to mention it or did I miss something?
