Anyone recognise this rack case/know similar models?

Recommended Posts

Bit of a long shot but, I'm having trouble finding a 2u rack case that'll snugly fit my Ashdown ABM head. For years I've been using a case that's way too deep and looks a bit silly.
I found a head for sale on eBay which is identical to mine in ideal casing, but I can't seem to find which make/model the case is (I have messaged seller but no luck yet). I've done a lot of searching for "shallow 2u rack case" but none seem as tidy as this one.

NOT MY PICS

If you know any similar cases, let me know

SKB would be my guess!

Gator do similar shallow racks, too.

Its definitely an SKB - i have one exactly the same. But i think they're discontinued now 😞

Boschma made a similar one as well (i had one of those as well) - they're quite hard to find but theres a 3u one here for £45 which is a bargain imho https://www.flightcasewarehouse.co.uk/industry/product.asp?item=boschma-roto-rackmount-3u-shallow-flight-case-13133-9639

They're both brilliant cases with really comfy handles.

I have a Peavey badged one very similar - had a simplified rear door, pretty sure it was made by SKB

The bodging of the Speakon access is something I would be proud to call my own work. 😎

I can't remember the model number but that is an SKB rack. Unlike the original SKB rack cases, it was much shallower and had no rack strip on the back. THis was because it was specifically designed for racked effects/outboard that did not need the extra support. If remember the rack mount on the front was not using captive nuts but self tapping screws that screwed into a thick plastic faux rackstrip . However I also had a small SKB Mixer rack that had the faux plastic rack strip that so I may be wrong on that.

Thomann 4 unit rack case, like this one.   In good condition - all latches work fine, a few scuffs and marks.
Collect from Harrogate, or I can deliver to Leeds (or Sheffield perhaps).
Happy to post in the UK at buyer's cost.

Having a bit of a loft clear out and selling three bass cases I hardly use.
Guitars/Basses in pics are obviously not included!
      1. Brand new Lightweight Foam Case. This a a super lightweight foam case that came with my Sadowsky. There is no branding on it. Very light and good quality and has never left the house. £45
      2. Protec Contego. Lovely case with great protection, doesn't get used as my mono sleeve does most of the gigs. One zip is broken (see pic). £50
      3. Unbranded leather case which came with a Musicman Sterling I bought on here. Fits electric guitars and basses with small-ish bodies £35
Pickup from Chessington, SE London/Surrey is ideal but could potentially also deliver. let me know if you have any questions.
      Thanks

Today I saw Gator do a 2u rack case that's in the style of amp casing.
I found this through their site: https://www.gatorcases.com/products/racks-portable/designer-rack-cases/retro-rack/50s-amp-style-rack-case-2u-black-gr-retrorack-2bk/

Something like this would be ideal for one of my amps, however I can't seem to see them for sale anywhere and can't find their official UK dealers.

Does anyone know where I might be able to find one? Or something like this??
