Bought from a very good friend @threeĀ years ago.

I bought it to get myself through a messy separation, sold it to pay for my wedding and bought it back to celebrate the birth of Maggie.

Life really does dictate I should get my affairs in order and Iā€™m playing less than ever - Iā€™m debating amps, effects and other basses as I go.

so, Hereā€™s the best jazz Iā€™ve ever played, owned, felt...looked at.

Its early 2000ā€™s and a complete 1 off.

light, resonant and just perfect.

The neck is 64 jazz width, 75 P depth - a total curiosity, but itā€™s amazing. Just a bit more in the hand than a 60ā€™s jazz.

the neck is exquisite - flame, Birdseye/quilt.

itā€™s a relic, done tastefully. Olympic white nitro, with a matching headstock.

As with the flea, donā€™t tell me Iā€™m a nutter, I know I am.573542BB-E30F-4A52-9C88-44BE6CAF3D33.thumb.jpeg.9928703d47c198d38aa653c77928c814.jpeg1C883C17-DF4B-482B-A921-10867BF2C0E6.thumb.jpeg.12f813fcfb7cac1aba696c8d39291602.jpegC115A047-1AAF-45D2-BC8A-C7BBDFB083C6.thumb.jpeg.ee5a93cffc02f4801226fda576da1738.jpeg5280ED0C-C0E7-4C49-9BF0-419B0B3DCA7A.thumb.jpeg.6981af4e0414f6d7f9ed16e82212c3a5.jpegA4934957-E531-4111-88D4-8838EDA72CD2.thumb.jpeg.ff835f06bf098494dc3cac971068cb9b.jpegD7C735F8-629A-4C98-A3D5-36325D490E15.thumb.jpeg.5c981c55cece2021653ca61326a53dc8.jpeg9B7043C7-6EE6-4399-8268-9C2D7A4AE6A7.thumb.jpeg.5f75c94633976438f1d3d2c5016162e2.jpegD8A1C3C3-F312-470A-875C-4556A5624FD2.thumb.jpeg.7c77f5f9e5710a9c0dd3082afd7b67cb.jpeg6FB6C10E-9E60-4551-B866-5FFF456D1AEE.thumb.jpeg.2ad4d6bcfc0bf17cc06b9fd7c608ddb8.jpeg7DE21F00-2994-47F9-B16D-EDB9AB762E23.thumb.jpeg.ad68716a7d3ee7b3842c3e43b7970e6b.jpeg90C8756B-C417-43D3-8D07-AAFB45D31801.thumb.jpeg.7cbb09b761f47d49e95b05879afc65d1.jpeg

Tbh life is simpler with one bass you love - (I assume youā€™re selling all but one?) and I think once you have the urge to sell you just have to get on with it!Ā

The Farida twins arenā€™t ā€œworthā€ much...so that would be a pointless sale.

Gutted youā€™re in this position, Iā€™ve been there many a time with a fine bass. But as you surely know, theyā€™reĀ only wood andĀ metal Ā - family etc. is where life is really at when youā€™ve got responsibilities. Ā
Ā

GLWTS (and buying it back if the winds change ;) )Ā

On a personal note, this saddens me nearly as much as it must doĀ you Andy. Ā If I could afford to keep it in the family, I'd surely do so:Ā should circumstances shift then it would be available to you again. Ā Alas, my spending (of the bank's money) has been somewhat reckless inĀ recent months.

More generally, to anybody considering this, it is an instrument ofĀ very unusual quality. Ā Of course, it's a premiumĀ instrument and expectations should be high. Ā However, in my opinion, this is that near perfect bass that appears very rarely - a fortuitousĀ concatenationĀ of materials, specs, experienced craft-work and ageing that has delivered the golden specimen.

I'm wiping away a tear here...Ā Ā

This is very fine instrument for whichĀ  I swapped a pre EB MM with Richardd of this parish. If I remember rightly Richard had personally imported it from the US.

It has a wide tone pallet one of which is a distinctive full nutty rich fruity one.

Yum :)
