I don't get why he does it, browsing recent pages of his feedback shows no one is stupid enough to pay what he's asking & yet he still lists these things. I understand about raising price expectations but it must be costing him money to constantly list the items.
My guess is it's cheap advertising for his parts business. And every bass forum on the planet gives him free publicity.

I had to read this one twice just to make sure what was being offered - £10 for a single screw. ;)

Presumably there's going to be another 9 of these up for sale at some point. Collect all 10!

In the same sense that "Squire" is the new "Squier".

I think I'm having an Intolerant Bastard day today - the combined repetition of "Squire" & "origional" in that ad makes me want to buy it just so I can collect in person & then beat his oxygen-thieving, illiterate face in with it.

And if that offends anyone, they can expect the same.

Have a nice day. ;)

Actually, I was making a semi-serious point about the shifting perceptions of "quality" as the Far Eastern production is concerned, but never mind :P

As it happens, this wasn't actually such a time but whatever.

And yes - I'd say Korea's been the new Japan for a while - most decent mid-range stuff's Korean these days, in the same way most low-end stuff's Chinese & Indonesian. Public perception might take a little while to catch up, but the Korean guitar industry goes back to the mid 70s, and broadly speaking quality was probably about 10 years behind Japan.

That said, they caught up quickly & some 80s KoreaDiarrhoea's actually becoming quite sought-after now, even with its own "lawsuit" brands, like Fenix & Vester. Squier production moved to Korea in the mid 80s & with the brand already established, there probably wasn't a dramatic drop in quality.

Back to the abuse now? :P

Perception definitely lags reality by a long way. I had a Vester, one of the generic inhouse designs rather than a Fender copy. It was very well made, even the electronics were decent and the only thing I couldn't get on with was the narrow neck. But when I sold it, I couldn't even get £100 for it.

You didn't include the description which was the best bit:
Yamaha's GA15 amp is a superb sounding amplifier when you consider it's frankly ridiculous price!
You do get a free butcher's apostrophe though, must be worth a couple of quid...

OMFG that is the scrappiest looking axe I've ever seen. :P
I wonder if it was used as a prop in a vid or something - surely it hasn't been played for real in that state. ;)
