I found listening to some of these tracks aspirational, as with the little (and not so little) flaws, I now feel that I have less distance to cross before I get "there".
Aye, but do remember, they are more than likely spliced together in the studio...
Fascinating as they are, I think this sort of thing would make any musician feel like they were walking naked in the streets of Riyadh. Isolation of something is to reveal its flaws, and people passing judgment on things like tone, timing, errors and erroneous noises outside the context of the whole recording, is a bit weird. Would you isolate the rice from a risotto and tell everyone you think it tastes bland?
my intention is do a 'remix' of ...And justice for all' so that I can hear the bass on those tracks; I have no desire to see Jason Newstead naked, not even a little bit.

Probably a very select audience, but I demuxed Oceansize's Feed To Feed DVD's, so I've got the bass, drums, and vocals track for the first 3 albums and Music For Nurses. They're very useful for figuring out the songs, because the bass is very audible, but the drums and vocals help you keep place in the song too. Let me know if anyone wants them and I'll figure out a way to make them shareable.
Goodo, I'll start figuring out a way to share them on the internets (3 files 234Mb each minimum.....should be fun). In the meantime this may interest you.
Can you not just convert to an MP3?
That is in .mp3, they're 1GB each in .wav, getting 600Mb of files onto a free (legal) file sharing service still isn't a cakewalk in the tea park.
Dropbox maybe? https://www.dropbox.com

You open an account and it gives you 2GB storage space for free. You upload the files and then you share the folder with the pepople that asks you for the files.
I already have an account with them and it's very handy for large files.

Its not there dude. do you have the download? how big is it?
:) I have no idea to be honest... but don't worry, we don't need to know that. All you have to do is here:

- Click on the link: http://www.gearslutz.com/board/gear-shoot-...learn-pros.html
- Now you are on the 1st post of that thread.
- You have to download the "Download #1", which has 8 different parts to it. You just click on each link and download them directly from Megaupload.
Only problem here is that Megaupload only allows you to download certain amount daily and, with just the first part, you exceed that amount. What you can do now is to switch off and back on your modem/router after you've downloaded a part... by doing this you'll get a different IP address everytime and you can download as many times as you want.
- You need to download all the 8 parts before trying to extract them. Once you have them all, extract the first part, entering the password provided by the guy, and that's it.
- It's a slow process and it takes time but it's well worth the wait...You have 269 songs!

To open the songs you'll need a software, I'm using Audacity which you can download for free directly their site.

Good luck!
For anyone interested, I found all of the bass and drum only tracks for Glassjaw's Worship and Tribute album. Massively cool to me, I'm sure some other people will like it too!
