2. Very nice mate, i've always been after the Geddy Lee model with the maple gloss-urethane fretboard. One day i will own it, one day

5. Hey guys, i just thought i would post to tell you that i have just got a new McGregor Raider 100 watt bass amp. The amp is very lightweight for the output, and the tone is tremendous. Any more of you use McGregor amps? I can't wait to gig with it. - Scott.
6. He should sign-up with us, it would be hilarious to see some of the posts he puts up.

8. Hey guys! I'm a 16 year old bassist available for gigging and recording/session work. I play all styles of music, a few examples of these are:- Pop, Indie, Punk, Rock ect. I am willing to work with any types of musicians, whether your a solo artist or band. I have a good knowledge and understanding of music. I most likely won't travel outside of Manchester for the first rehearsals, although after the first one, if it's a success, i will travel most places, especially for recording and gigs. Any questions or concerns, reply and ask me and i will answer them for you. Thanks, Scott.
9.
Ah yes, I see now.
Yeah, he's the reason i play bass.
10. It depends mate, they say that the bassist and drummer are the two most important band members, but you should try extra rehearsals or tell him to relax, and let the music flow, because you need to make it easy for each other really
11. Welcome to the site! And i am Sixteen too, maybe we could help each other out?
12.
Declaring on an internet forum that you're up to pro gigging standard on an instrument after 2 weeks, playing any style...if that doesn't count as trolling, what does?!
Dude, go and check Jared Followill's Wikipedia. He learned the bass a few weeks before recording and have a look at his basslines!? And there are a few styles i can't fully do.
13.
I was a puzzled about that, too.
I know, i might just sit here all-day until i find out the actual meaning of that post. Hmm....
14.
All hail the troll king!
Troll king?
15.
That's intriguing. To what standard would you say you can play those styles?
Good standards, performing standards, but don't get me wrong, i'm not saying that I or anyone else IS musically talented, i'm just stating how shocked i am with how quickly i learned to play it, i don't have it 'mastered' like alot of you guys, especially the older experienced ones, but within two weeks of learning on my first bass, i was dragged down to a recording studio with my band to record a few songs, and i live in Manchester, and another friend of mine want's me to play for him, and most of they're gigs are at the academy's and that, mostly in London.
16. Hey man, listen to "Crawl" by the Kings of Leon, that has some Distorted/fuzz bass on the track. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idmeOEHESp0
17. Some people are better or more naturally talented than others. For example, i have learned to play bass within two weeks, and i could now, pretty much play whatever you wanted; Funk, Indie, Rock, Metal ect. Whereas my friend has never had drum lessons, and he can play them better than most drummers i have seen. It just depends how musically inclined people are.
18. They look beautiful, that's all i can really say, although on some guitars, they look horrible, depends what colour your bass is really.
19. A few good one's to try are: Any Fender precision bass or Squire bass, which are practically the same, just at different prices with a different name. An Epiphone thunderbird. And maybe a musicman?
20. I started on drums. Then tried piano, thought it was beautiful but too laid back. Tried guitar (which i still play today) Then finally tried bass, and loved it.
21. I agree, i use outside links such as Imageshack, and Soundcloud ect.
22. Yalright guys!? Erm, where do i start? xD Well, basically, my band is called "Last Night" we are a four-piece band, Drums, Guitar/Vocals, Bass and Guitar. We come from the Manchester area.
