Help picking a scratch plate colour

In my quest to get rid of gear, I've found myself with some more gear. My favourite is this Musicman Stingray Classic 5, it is a really great bass, and the treble control is exactly what I wanted it to be. The only problem is the black/rosewood combination is a bit boring, so I'm thinking a new scratch plate could make it look a little better.

Any ideas on colour? I'm thinking tort, or maybe clear but with a sticker or logo underneath?

Stick with the black, it's a classic.

I put a white pearl guard on my black and maple Ray but went back to the black after some time,

A dark red tort would lend a vintage air to it.

I would leave it, or go for one of those matt black scratchplates they used to use.

A mirror scratchplate would be awesome though!

I would definitely go tort or find a cool black and white image to go underneath a clear guard like Gail Ann Dorsey does.

I was going to add a regular aluminum color. either brushed or shiny. The black one on it now looks good for the white edges.

I must admit I was thinking of changing the plate on my EBMM Sterling 4HH.  Same as the op’s colours at present ie black, rosewood, black plate 🤔

Replacements for the 4HH Sterling do seem a bit scarce though.
