Best Tuner for DB

Was once feeling extravagant and treated myself to the Rolls Royce of clip-on tuners:

I wanted a clip on to just pop on the bridge, and didn't want to have anything extra in my signal chain. Works beautifully! Well constructed, good display, tracks quickly and very accurate. It isn't the cheapest option, but being in tune is worth it.

I like the look of the StroboClip looks excellent.

I use a PolyTune for my double bass which I really like. I use the Strobe setting on it so I can get accurate results. i love it. As stated above it is only plug in though but that doesn't bother me the way i use it.

Yes the stroboclip looks great but priceee. The idea of a good clip on is appealing. A chain of appliances is a bit annoying. I use a fishman pre into the tuner then into the amp. Could end up like a guitarist ye gods forbid. I remember paying around 60 squid for my TU12 when it first came out, probably 20+ years ago so gadget prices have remained stable and have gone down in real terms. I think that I am uncontrollably talking myself into the stroboclip. I mostly record although do not rule out gigging. The Kania contrabass sound requires micing up as well as the piezo so all these things can divert you from actually playing accurately
