So this new band I've joined are going to cover 'I saw her standing there' so obviously the first thing I did was check around the web for a free instruction...

Ahh, so that's how it's done then! The lad has a clear future in teaching... :)

When you watched that back, surely you would question its validity?
Judging by his other videos,he probably thinks that they are somewhat valid.

Give him the benefit of the doubt, he's only a young lad out to impress. He'll get enough comments under his video telling how bad his video is without us adding to it.
Funnily enough, that's one of the two songs I can play & sing simultaneously - the other is 'All or Nothing!'.

Bang up to date, Me!!!

Man after my own heart! With me it's Teenage kicks and Dakota.

I don't think I'll ever post on YT.......it's bad enough looking a prat in front of the less numerous pub/club punters.

Boring fact No. 459.
Did you know that The Beatles 1966 album 'Revolver' was originally going to be recorded in Memphis, Tennessee and NOT Abbey Road Studios in London?? :)
All of a sudden I don't feel quite so bad about my lack of chops...

But it did have the effect of lengthening the "maybe a couple more months practice before I look to find a band" - I have an extremely low embarassment threshold, unlike this kid!

edit:typo
The most important thing is to get out there and start doing it... start mixing with people, surround yourself with people better than you - it will elevate your player quicker than you could ever imagine... otherwise you'll just turn into yet another bedroom player. Granted, practice... but you got to have something to practice for.
