Don't get me wrong I've wanted a Mustang for years but that's a huge difference in price for a few changes. If its thru body stringing, and has some decent hardware i'd say its not badly priced, considering a lot of new, dare i say Higher end, Squiers are going for £300 and over. I have a Vintage Modified Jaguar (see Gear Porn) which, with a few tweaks, is fabulous. I would expect a Mustang to be just as good. The thing is, the companies who also make the top quality and top priced guitars simply cannot - and will not - risk their reputation by making rubbish entry-level guitars. As such, the low end Yamahas, Squiers, Ibanezs, etc, while built to a budget, are very very well made bits of kit. ~Bit of a set up tweak here and a hardware change there and you have a fantastic value for money result Andy Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
