I recently sold an epiphone ripper on here that I just could not get on with, I think the issue with it was that I'm about 5'10" and built like pencil and the bass was huge, the body is give or take the same size as a Jack Cassady Epiphone and because of all the weight at the bridge end due to the sold maple body it wouldn't sit right across your lap. It weighed about the same as me. To top it all off, for no apparent reason at all, the neck just felt difficult. I had the bass for near enough 2 years and the only way I can describe the neck is difficult. Needless to say I'm far happier with the PEavey International 5er that is currently around my neck.

I think the easiest way to get the most pickup configurations is wire it with 2 volumes, 1 tone and a 3 way switch Run 2 of the pickups into the 3 way switch then into a volume pot and then into a master tone, run the 3rd pickup into it's own volume pot then into the master tone. It would be pretty straight forward to wire. You're basically wiring a p bass and 2 pickup guitar into the same body and joining them at the tone pot. I would wire the J's to the 3 way and give the P its own volume control. That you get every combination you need and if the P is overpowering the J's you can roll the volume back on it.

I have absolutely no idea what it is but my two pence is to route it for a neck jazz, whack the pickguard on there and make it sweet urge II style bass

I'll be keeping an eye on this then to see how you butcher my old bass
