Would anybody believe me if I said that (COMPLETELY out of the blue) I sold my Badass II off my Marcus Miller for £135 a while ago?

It was open to bidding and it went sky high, much to my complete amazement. AND I got paid too!
Why are there never any people like that around when I put anything on Ebay? :)

Seems fair, get some mates together, etc....
That's about £41.66 each, right? (excluding postage say £25 max, judging by the weight / size of all 9 together) Well mmm if you buy the lot and sell them one by one at about..... say £80 each going by ebay average, you'll double your money. My question is why would this seller want to shift all 9 at once? Close down sale or sinister circumstances..... back of a lorry sort of thing... tea leafed?
I would like to know why your opinion is so.
I can't give you any science (or even logic) I'm afraid, all I can say is that I've always preferred the tone of a Jazz with a BA, seems to give it a bit more edge and tone that's missing with the BBOT, whilst I find that the extra tone and edge in question isn't required on a Precision. Given a lot of conversations I've had with experienced players, it does seem to be quite a common belief, but as I said, no science or logic that I'm aware of.

Yup, that's been up for a while but they have definitely got Badass IIIs in now - check the actual page.

(just got one this morning so the number may have gone down).

Ah that's a shame. Thanks for clearing that up.

Try calling WDmusic products and ask how much they have them for - they often have mix and match combinations (silver bridge with black saddles etc) going V cheap.

Hipshot now do drop in for Fender... a better bridge all round... but the finish in black isn't so hot...
