1. Regardless of ohms if this cab is fully working i.e no sign of speakers/horn on their way out, I know someone who'd love this and who is willing to drive the distance from Colchester if you could meet up in East London preferably (or if not too far into Kent)
2. A quick way to find out Ohms is to take the speakers out and check to see of any indication printed on the speaker. Eminence usually have a model number printed on it with the last digit(s) being the amount of ohms, 8 or 16 usually depending on how the cab is wired. So if theres two 16 ohm speakers in there, best bet its wired up to 8 ohms and if theres two 8 ohm speakers in there best bet its wired upto 4 ohms. I doubt its wired up in parallel you dont get many bass drivers rated at 500w each.
3. The Pingray is probably going to be one of my all time favorite basses!
4. Is there anyone in my area you guys can recommend to re-finish my bass? The two local guitar luithers here end up sending their jobs to the other side of London! Cheers!
5. This may or may not help you as im 6ft 3" but I prefer to play nothing but heavy basses and my back ain't too much a fan of this either during a 3hr set or band practise. However I cope alot better when doing a 3hr set than a practise as Im always altering my posture and playing position and this seems to help alot. I always suffer at band practise more as Im constantly stood up straight. As I said this probably wont help you much as we're two different people but if it helps me out it may be something to consider? For example I alternate alot from playing with the body of the bass against my belly and the neck to the left of me, to body of bass at my side against my hip with the neck infront of me. Also a nice strap with a wide shoulder support does wonders
6. Kind of a thread Hi-jack but I would really love to hear some sound samples of this bass as I am currently deciding whether to go for Neodym or Alnico magnets in my Bass Culture pickups to fit in my BB1200. If you can find the time please PM me many thanks. also, are they Single coil or Humbuckers in your bass?
7. Im after a 700rb or 1001rb head let me know if you ever consider a straight up sale. Cheers.
8. Just letting everyone know theres Jack Bruce's Hartke rig from his last tour for sale in Music Warehouse, Colchester. Its the LH1000 head + Hydrive 410 and 115 cabs and I think he wants around a £1000 for it. I have nothing to do with this sale but it seems in decent enough nik with a few scratches to the head and very minor tears to the cabs. I tried it out but its not my cuppa tea. Also there might be a second rig which is exactly the same but Im not 100% sure if theyre selling that buts its in storage in one of the local rehearsal studios.
9. Thankyou everybody. Im a big fan of Markbass, I love the flat sound of the Little Marks but im not a fan of the EQ and contour filter. So I thought I'd try out Gallien Krueger for a change as the 1001RB is a similar price to the LMIII, hopefully it has a more suitable contour and the presence and boost settings seem like they'd be useful. Im going to try the 1001RB and 2x12 NEO combo tomorrow hopefully it shifts enough air and I can hear most of the frequencies when Im standing next to it.
10. Right after somehow blowing up or somehow buying three defective second-hand cabs in a row without realising I've vowed never to buy a second-hand cab again if I can help it. Every second-hand head Ive bought has been fine however. But now is my chance to finally spend around £1000 on a rig I can be happy with. Im mostly a experimental rock player with a smidgen of funk plus I play alot of rock/pop/80's/60's/50's my covers band. I have a boat load of effects from distortions, overdrives, synths and bit crushers. So i guess you can say I love the modern punchy sound but I also appreciate the vintage warm sound when it is needed. I need an amp that loves it when I dig in hard on the strings and can also handle effects well. Also It doesnt matter too much if the amp is too modern sounding as I use a DHA VT2 to warm things up. So far I am quite keen on the Gallien Krueger 1001RB but yet to decide on the best cab configuration and cab models. I do love Markbass and Ampeg but I dont see an affordable rig for under a grand. Im a fan of 10's 12's and 15's speakers, I like the different sounds from all of them just as long as I can hear myself on stage but I cant fit a 8x10 in my car... So basically the usual needs of a bass player on a budget... Any suggestions would be appreciated thanks.
11. Did this sell on eBay? Pm me if not cheers *Ive just seen the completed listing ignore this cheers*
12. Indeed tis a bargin! I bought it from here for a good price, now selling for a better price! I would post but I wouldnt know how to go about proper packaging for this beast

Specs are found here: http://www.markbass....etail.php?id=26 SOLD cheers
14. Mega basses with biiiiig tones love my modded BB1200. If I saw this a year ago I would have bought it straight away! Love to know more about the capacitor mod and how it changes the tone
15.
He was responsible for designing the Yammie MSG. Superb guitar and deserving of legendary status.
He also had a hand in the BB basses in the late 70's too
16. My influences on bass were when I first started: Flea - taught me how to jam Tim Commerford - taught me how to groove with the fewest of notes Les Claypool - taught me how to play outside the box Glen Diani - taught me the importance of stage presence Ken Flatt - lent and taught me how to play my first bass. So i guess theyre my biggest influence. Nowadays its more like John Paul Jones, Jack Bruce, Billy Cox, Noel Redding, Larry Graham, Bootsy Collins.
17.
I also have a right-angle adapter cable custom-made by James Kitchen at Diago that allows daisy chaining the EHX. PM if interested.
Really? odd mine works fine with just the standard Diago daisy chain. Does this mean mines going to blow up soon?
18. I have one and love it. Very Versatile and easily can do over the top like the Boss Flanger and the option to turn off the sweep yet still choose where the sweep sits is also awesome if you know what I mean. Great deal of fun for such a small pedal. Works fine with my Diago daisy chain too.
19. Im not 100% sure but I dont see why not. Passive pickups are often paired with active preamp. Like the BB614, pretty sure theyre passive pickups
20. Changed my mind these pickups are incredible it was just the amp I was using...
