2. Best fender styled bass Ive ever seen! love it
3. Well the only shop I found who you can order replacement drivers in the UK rarely replied to me but said 'we'll but it on our next shipment order because we can only order them from USA' and they never got back to me even after emailing them a reminder. So then the Bass Merchants answered my plea for help on here, Basschat, offering me two Aguilar 12"s they had in stock and because Epifani and Aguilar both use Eminence drivers I thought little of it. Both makes of cab use very similar sized cabinets. Had to replace both speakers as I was told by everyone that you should for fear of putting extra load on one driver if the other is different. Sounds massively loud as it ever was and I really didnt notice any difference after the swap.

Bass EQ Pedals?

I also use a passive PJ bass and a Markbass LMII. Also Im in a covers band and the only 2 pedals I need to take with me are the DHA VT2 and EHX Microsynth. With the DHA VT2 I can switch to clean solidstate tone of the Markbass to more warmer tones with the 1st channel of the VT2 engaged then total 60's overdrive with the 2nd channel which is ideal for certain Cream/Hendrix/Zepplin covers. The MicroSynth with abit of tweaking between songs covers the fuzz for Muse covers etc, the Octave/Organ sound for The Doors, even a decent blagged distortion with the higher "octave" and guitar" faders maxed up then running that into the 1st channel of the VT2. Immensely versatile!
5. Bought several patch cables off Tony which saved me alot of time and money making them myself! Ta very much chap!
6. OMG.. literally just bought one on ebay for £450 with cover... wish I had waited!!! Oh well, still incredibly happy with mine!
7. PM'd yesterday. Rasta were you after the Boss LS-2 too? If you are youve beaten me too it
8. I sold my Dimarzio pickups to jakub, he paid by Paypal and even offered to pay the paypal fees! top bloke. Wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again. Also thought I'd add that this is Kurcatovium friend. Kurcatovium actually set up contact between me and Jakub, thanks for your help. Matt.
9. You definitely get your moneys worth with Markbass, they use B&C drivers which frankly are far far far better (and twice the price) than any custom made Eminence driver all the high end brands seem to be using at the mo like Epifani, Aguilar, TC etc... I put Markbass up there with Ampeg, the daddy of bass amplification. Still, its all down to personal taste, i mean i love warwick cabs for that lovely warwick hifi tone but i was in love with Markbass the very second a Markbass 104hf cab punched its way through the entire crowd of people at a open air concert, it wasnt even mic'd up or hooked up to the PA!

I dont know this for sure but Im sure if you have enough power in your daisy chain (for example the Diago powerstation has 3000mA it can distribute between its daisy chain, more than enough if your using a few power munching 200mA pedals) you should be fine, just need to make sure they all have the same ground (not sure on that one its just what Ive picked up through people's advice).
11. Yeah Dan has had the best idea so far with the Ls-2 and muting switches. Whats the Bypass like on the Boss? any tone adulteration?
12. This is similar to what im trying to achieve in the thread "Effects loop blend" but I am failing miseribly...

Effects loop blend

ah great... the hum might be caused by a "ground loop" so this whole project was doomed to fail regardless... so unless you want to buy another amp to feed the dry output of the Big Muff into, WHATS THE POINT OF HAVING IT?!?!?

Right well I ended up buying a second Morley ABY pedal for half the price of a new one which made it acceptable. However, it doesnt do what I want it to do... The online description on their site says Morley ABY selector combiner pedal. Route 2 inputs into 1 output. Basically heres a simple example of what I was trying to do: 1)Bass guitar into Big Muff, 2)Big Muff (effects output) ----> (Input A ) Morley ABY 3)Big Muff (dry output)---------> (Input B ) Morley ABY 4)Morley ABY output into amp. Im basically attempting to use the Big Muff's dry output to blend clean signal with the Big Muffs fuzz effect. The Morley has the option of routing both input A and B together into its output or I can switch between A and B. http://www.morleypedals.com/daby.html With the Big Muff ON, the Morley works fine when switching from A to B. However when switching A and B on together I just get feedback hum... fail. Why is this happening...

Qtron+ Too Loud!!
QUOTE (dumelow @ Jan 16 2011, 07:19 PM) regarding the q-tron plus, have you tried flicking the switch over from "normal" to "boost" mode. i found that when doing this the gain knob then acts as more of a volume control. you do have to set it quite low though cause the pedal is very loud True when in boost mode, the gain which is normally a sensitivity control also (stupidly) doubles up as a volume control. The problem is with that, as you say the pedal is so loud, the gain control when in boost mode has to be turned right down, thus also bringing sensitivity down with it. With a level control at the back-end of the Qtron, & when kept in normal mode, the gain (sensitivity) control can be adjusted to what ever suits the effect your after.
Thanks for the suggestion but Ive already tried every configuration available on the pedal and theyre all too loud For now Ill be using the Qtron+ in BP mode with a clean blend until I can be bothered to find someone local to do the mod for me.

Qtron+ Too Loud!!
Hi No, its not faulty - they all do it. See Qtron volume thread here for discussion on the issue. Another option to control the volume spikes, would be put a limiter pedal after it. Something like the cheap Behringer one would no doubt tame it.
Great so until I mod it or buy a limiter its basically a useless pedal. Shame because it sounds incredible... What a retard to design such a great pedal with a crippling flaw..
I built a pedal last year for BC member mojobass that was an ABC box with volume controls. I reckon I could put together something that'll do what you want at a reasonable price (certainly cheaper than the Morley). PM me and we can discuss your needs. A
Hey Alien Thanks for the offer! I am interested and will Pm you monday. Cheers!
20. OMG what a steal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! a total steal people!!!! sadly I cannot afford it either......

aaaaaaaaaaah a 'Combiner' Pedal is what I am after! Morley seem to do one and its a tad expensive for such a simple pedal... oh well atleast they exist!

Just got home and had a look at the SFX site. The Mix pedal is almost exactly what im after! just that it has no external volume or foot switch for either input... Getting closer though cheers!
