1. Also I used to own a Zoom BFX 708 great pedal, I used to get some insane sounds and random synth/modulation effects. For £25 cant go wrong
2. I dont know whats wrong exactly. Nor does the Bass Merchants or the amplifier techicians I took it too. They both just said instead of messing around reconing it its best just to buy a new driver. The buzzing has got worse since the last time I tested it.
3. Right, having to replace the driver... Would anyone here know the details I need to focus on when choosing a replacement? I cant be bothered to spend all the money on ordering the custom designed Eminence speaker from Epifani and ship it over from USA, because its probably made in China anyway just like Epifani's cabs are! So far I guess I need a driver that is rated 400w-500w at 8 ohms. Is there anything else I should pay attention to? So far Ive got my eye on a Eminence Delta 12LF. Anyone got any opinions on this
4. Apparently Flea used a Wal bass to record the whole of Blood Sugar Sex Magic. Saw some video on youtube with him talking about his wall of basses
5. Hello! might be interested in these, I wont know until tomorrow however. Are they still available and would you consider selling them separately? PM me ta. Matt.
6. afraid not sorry, they dont come with one anyway. I was using a multi adaptor with this with no issues.
7. Feedback for the Hartke VXL Bass Attack Pedal I sold him: Dans the man, paid promptly and no hassle anywhere to be found! Ta very much! may we do business again sometime! Matt.
8. Thanks for the big up Kaiu! Sorry CraigPlaysBass, not after another bass unless its a BB415 nice looking bass though and I used to own a SRX505 about 7 years ago. Sold it to fund my Warwick Corvette which I am struggling to put up for sell but must be done at some point...
9. Muchas Bumpage! C'mon! below half price for this well made, quality sounding German combo! made before the production was shipped of to China! when it deserved to be under the title 'Professional series' on their website.
10. Muchas Bumpage! scratching my head as to why this bass at this price at this condition is still for sale!!!!
11. If I hadnt just bought a Markbass and Epifani rig, I would be seriously considering the 3 hour journey for this combo!!!!! been after one for some time considering its pre gibson and great price! and im not one to complain about added mojo either! Damn
12. Hello all! selling my Hartke VXL Bass Attack Pedal, bearly used, never gigged. Bought it to give me more tonal options with my Warwick combo but now I have a Markbass LMII head I no longer need this. only marks are 2 tiny pin sized marks on the front. Velco on the bottom. Click here for the Hartke's website spec £65 including P&P
13. Hello all! for sale is my Korg Toneworks AX10B "Modelling Signal Processor" Refer to this site for detailed specs: http://www.korg.co.uk/products/effects/ax1...ax10g_ax10b.asp Used and gigged a fair few times! easy to get your head around and was a reliable companion on stage until I started dabbling with individual effects pedals and since not used this for a while now. Fairly good condition, a few minor marks to the body nothing serious. Comes with the original box which is alittle battered and the manual. £35 including P&P
14. Final price reduction before I list it on ebay...
15.
If it is any help I've found that when a dust cap comes loose the only way to fix it is to take it right off and re glue it all round. Just tackiing back the loose bit never seems to work. However pressing on the dust cap doesn't just move the dust cap so it may be a coil scratching which does mean a new speaker. You may be able to get it re-coned though which may only cost £40-50 if you can find someone to do it. I use copydex to re stick loudspeaker parts.
Thanks for the suggestion, Im currently getting a second opinion from another techy but if he says the same about needing a replacement driver I might try fully removing the dustcap. Whats the best method for this please?
16.
...but after taking the cab apart i doubt i would by another Epifani cab again if the build quality was anything to go by.
I know what you mean! the build quality is somewhat lacking considering Epifani's background and supposed cabinet building ethics! The drivers are a loose fit (quite a gap!) and one of the screw pockets for the drivers are almost hanging out of the wood (not from clumsy removal of the driver but thats how it was initially inserted into the plywood!) I know mine was bought second hand but wow what a bad example... my warwick combo is getting on for about 10 years now ive owned it for 7 and Ive never had one single fault or failure (now for sale by the way lol!).
I sold it on here a couple of years ago. I wonder if its the same cab lol.
Well PM me the buyers name if your not fussed and we might find out lol Cheers
17. Thanks for replying, just got back from the Bass Merchants. Whatever it is Ive been told it looks like I'm soon to be replacing the driver for £130! oooooooooouch! massive shame... its only 3 years old as well used with heads that are impossible to overload it. Expected more from a USA made Epifani cab but I guess theres always one isn't there! Well i Guess I should be annoyed at Eminence speakers and the original seller! Ive been reassured that my Little Mark II would definitely not have caused this! Well I can still play at low volume and high volume without being annoyed. Just not in between without a buzzing So useless for recording Its upto the original seller's generosity now as there ain't much Ebay are gonna do! Bugger!
18. Hello I was hoping if anyone could shed some light on this: I have recently bought an Epifani 2x12 UL cab off ebay, went to pick it up, met the guy and tried out the amp at loud volume (12 o'clock with my Markbass LMII) and was perfectly happy. Now when I play it at home at 9 o'clock (1/4 of the volume) there is a buzz, which I have isolated to one of the 12" drivers. More specifically I think it may be the dustcap of the driver. Initially though I thought it may have been because there was a small area of the glue which holds the dustcap to the driver so I got that fixed at my local guitar shop but the buzz is still there. Under 1/4 volume the buzz is not present, over 1/2 volume the sound of the buzz is drowned out so in other words the buzz doesnt increase in loudness along with the overall volume. When i gently apply pressure to the dustcap in question the buzz stops for about 20 seconds before gradually returning. I am stumped! taking it back the the repair shop tomorrow but I was just wondering if anyone here had any suggestions to what it might be. If its serious I'm gonna have to dispute it with the original seller and ebay which is a massive pity as the tone is immense! Cheers.
