1. I bought a Gallien Krueger Neo 212 cab from Dave. Hassle free exchange, quick as you like communication and Item as described no surprises here. Many Thanks. Matt.
2. Ok thanks people, Im going to test using just the 2x12 at tonights gig which is a smaller venue. Its an old Epifani 212UL which weighs a ton!! funny as I thought UL meant ultra light.
3. So basically I was wondering if its ok to combine: 500w amp at 2 ohms, 4x10 250w cab at 4 ohms, 2x12 600w cab at 4 ohms. My main rig is down and I have a medium/large venue to play without PA support! 500w is abit overkill and I dont need all that volume but 250w on its own will fall a tad short of moving enough air. Is this going to put alot of stress on the 4x10 250w cab? Ta for looking, opinions and experience needed please!
4. pm'd
5. Just wow, I need me one of these!
6. Corrrrrrrrr Yummy BB, They just look great dont they.
7. Anything too lightweight like some Ibanez basses etc they are literally the sound of the string and thats it, i find anyway.
8. Its not perfect but it does the job if you reverse the original metal surround. No sharp edges and the use of smaller screws here on my modded BB1200
9. Could you possibly send me a pm about who modded your EHX Mircosynth please.
10. Its all about 90's bass players Pearl Jam Rage Against the Machine King Prawn One Minute Silence Mudvayne Squarepusher
11.
I'm with Happy Jack on this - the current (old) format with plenty of chat does let you suss out what's what with a lot of sales and, I've felt, gives me more confidence in purchasing e.g. by post which is a real trust thing. This new format seems much too open to gumtree-style scams in comparison
+1
12. Wow, im actually quite tempted to donate some money for all this hard work nah....
13. and if they will fit guitar pots
14. Cheers.
15. Cheers 51m0n definitely something worth experimenting with if I can find the right comp. The diamond comp looks nice, I like the "overdriven" compression effect it has
16. I've read the mxr dynacomp robs your lows and im not a fan of boss pedals altogether but that's just me. I'm tempted to go back to the blackfinger for extreme compressed tone but would still love to hear more suggestions pleeeease
17. Awesomo cheers guys. Im trying to achieve something close to but not necessarily the same as the bass tone in D.A.N.C.E by Justice. Fantastic use of effects on that album
18. http://www.godlyke.com/totally-wycked-audio-effects-pedals/great-divide this also looks interesting however I tend to stay away from effects that do the whole 100 sounds in one box one stomp thing.
19. I have settled with the EHX Octave Multiplexer myself as I really find the high and low filter switching so useful for my tastes. Ive just recently discovered the Cubic Copilot which sounds pretty lush
20. Well Ive totally gone off the whole "stay on all the time" compression as most pedals I have tried, eventhough liked at first, ended up hating with live use as they take too much out of the tone and dynamics. However, Im after a compression pedal now to use as an on/off effect which does the whole extreme squishy squelchy greasy funk like tone. Please post suggestions for ones you have or have heard that do this with outrageous effect. Cheers.
21. then this popped on after on the random: http://vimeo.com/27055289

23. Actually its a tough one? (no Bluejay no reference to you) Strings could be the lungs and frets be the vocal chords? I dont know discuss
24. Strings as Vocal cords hey, yes indeed the part that controls the pitch! wonderful insight. The Neck of the bass could be the Backbone no? Should be kept almost as straight as possible at all times and if abused or burdened with an improper load, will bend or break. Bluejay enough gloating some people are not as lucky as you!
