1. I played a CV P bass yesterday (same colour). I have to say I was damn impressed with it! It was easily the nicest Squire I've ever played and it put some MIM Fenders I've played to shame (along with many other mid-range basses). What shocked me even more was that the shop's owner informed me that he hadn't given it a full setup yet. If I wasn't looking at the new, updated Mark Hoppus basses I'd have been tempted to wack out the debit card there and then.

NBD!!!!!

How would you say this bass compares to other MIMs of the past and other breeds of Fender (MIJ, MIA)? I'm itching to get one of these new models but there's no chance I'd be able to try one before buying where I live. (I'm planning on swapping out the Seymour Duncan and putting in a Nordstrand NP4 and a set of flats). Cheers, Bob.
3.
I never really feel an instrument's mine until I've played the hell out of it, and it's always good to have an extra incentive to play more!
+1 I feel the same way. Until I've broken in a new instrument and it's got a few battle scars (even just minor scratches) I don't feel as though it's part of my flock.

5. Hi guys, having a clear-out to make room (and funds) for a new bass. Up for sale we have: Tone Factor Eeyore This is a true-bypass box with two loops. However, only one loop can be engaged at a time. The switch to the left changes the loop the corresponding LED lights up while the switch on the right is for bypassing the pedal. It has a rather nice sparkly-blue finish which the photo above doesn't do justice to. I also added the KAPOW sticker, but I'm sure this can be easily removed with some lighter fluid and patience. Good condition overall with velcro on the bottom. SOLD! Boomstick Bottom Feeder (re-branded Tone Factor 442 Red) I'm sure you guys know what this pedal's all about - Tone Factor 442 tweeked for bass, based on the DOD 440 circuit. It's a very subtle envelope filter that tends to sit nicely in the mix without being overbearing. This particular pedal had a custom paint job (sparkly purple). Unfortunately, the finish turns out looking more blue when photographed. It's in mint condition save for velcro on the bottom. SOLD! T-Rex Fuel Tank I used this as my main source of power on my board for years before I downsized. Eight 9V DC outputs, one 12V DC output (works BRILLIANTLY for powering an Analogman Clone Chorus) and one 12V AC output. You can also switch the input voltage between 230V and 115V. Full specs and the like can be seen here. It has velcro on the bottom so it's ready to go on a board. As far as I'm aware, I still have all of the power cables that came with it so obviously I'll supply these as well. WITHDRAWN! Cheers, Bob. P.S: I also have a PT 2 for sale (with hardcase) here.
6. I've been thinking of picking up a fuzz pedal for guitar at somepoint. I'm pretty tempted by this...
7. Steve bought a ABY pedal off me not too long ago. Good comms and promt payment... painless transaction
8. Sign me up for a copy too
9. Tom's got a point though But yeah, another lovely Shuker
10.
If someone doesn't take the GEB-7 I'll gladly have it off you!
I've got it on hold for someone else at the moment, but if the sale falls through I'll PM you
11. Agreed mate, it's easily the best tuner I've ever owned. I use it to do the intonation on all my instruments
12. Well, I've downgraded to a PT Mini: The complex signal chain for those who are curious: Bass> Sonic Research ST-200> EBS Multicomp> Xotic X-Blender (Roger Mayer Voodoobass in loop)> Amp. I do miss my Subdecay Noisebox, but I never really got a chance to use it live much At least it's sitting in its box on my desk, ready to send the neighbours nuts again. And with the old PT I've made a guitar board: Just need to decide on whether or not to get a Devi Ever Hyperion or an Okko Coca Comp to fill the gap in the corner, but of course, this is definitely the wrong place to discuss such obscene excursions to the world of guitars Cheers, Bob.
13. Hi mate, if you could post some pics that would be great as I've been interested by the Hoppus basses for a long time (especially the surf green ones.) Cheers, Bob
14. Hi guys, I'm having a clearout so this stuff needs to be moved on 2U Flightcase - has seen the horrors of life on the road and came out the other side with some scratches, nicks, marks and a little bit of rust, but it's still as strong as a brick-s***-house. The outside is sturdy, and a thick padding of foam protects the inside rack from the shocks. This also includes a bag of screws, bolts and rubber washers to attach rack gear to and a shelf which I briefly used to rack some effects with. £50 (I'd rather this was collected but if you PM me I'm sure we could arrange to meet half-way, or I'd be happy to courier it if you're willing to pay for shipping.) Gibson 496R and 500T Humbuckers (Mint/As new) - Ceramic dual-coil pickups taken from a Gibson Flying V '67 reissue. They're very hot (which is why I swapped them for lower-gain alnico pups... UFO/Schenker time anyone?!?) and when plugged into a decent rig sound rather good if metal and hard-rock is your cup of tea. Not the best pickups in the world, but most defintely an improvement over the stock pups that come with a lot of cheap entry-level instruments. £50 for the set (price includes postage.) Kind regards, Bob.
15. ALL SOLD! Happy days Boss GEB-7 EQ - I've hardly used this at all and from what I can see it is in MINT condition (save for a bit of velcro on the bottom.) SOLD! Wobo Double Looper - A two-loop bypass box. It has a few nicks and scratches, and it's a bit dusty, but it's been sitting in a drawer for a few years since it was last on my pedal board... it utilises gold plated relay switches instead of hardwire, see here for more details: http://woboge.com/boxes_doublelooper.html ) SOLD! Maxx Tuner mute / A/B Box - As new. I had this custom made for me by www.electrick-garage.com with a GIANT, BRIGHT, FLAMBOYANT PINK LED... I later applied the glittery Pink Pather as it put a smile on my face, although it can easily be removed if it's not to your liking. SOLD! AC/DC Power bank - Used, but in very good condition. A cheap and cheerful power supply that offers five 9V 2.1mm outputs with a maximum mA output of 500mA (not that much, but it's enough to juice five everyday stomp boxes (just don't try and run loads of digital modelling gear off it, or daisy chain 20 pedals.) Includes four 2.1mm barrel leads (centre negative) and a three-way daisy chain. SOLD! Price includes postage. Kind regards, Bob
16. I had a Multicomp before when I was a n00b with compression and did not have a clue... I sold it. Then I tried a handful of Orange Squeezer clones that were far too "squishy" and I wasn't keen on the noticable volume swells. Then I tried the Multicomp again and realised how stupid I was for getting rid of my first one. I adore the dual-band setting, and the tube-sim mode is nice to add a subtle warmth when going through a cheap, passive D.I. live. Another vote for the Multicomp here!

OldGit

I don't frequent Basschat anywhere near as much as I used to, but OldGit seemed like a class-A bloke My condolences to those close to him, and to those who knew him well.
18. I REALLY like that Enjoy it mate, play it loud and proud.
