1. Hi all After a recent flurry of gear selling my only back up bass is a Squier Musicmaster. I'm at university so I don't really want to have my G&L (my main bass, and pride and joy) sitting around my flat with the potential of something terrible happening to it so the Squier will be the bass I have to noodle around on. I've never really been happy with the tone I've got from the Vista tone pickup and I've heard good things about putting Dimarzio pickups in their place, specifically the Fast Track 2 http://www.dimarzio....at/fast-track-2 but they seem a bit harder to come by. I was also looking at the BC-2 http://www.dimarzio....t/dimarzio-bc-2 which has very similar output and Bass, Mid and Treble stats as the Fast Track 2. Would this work the same since it has similar balances? Or does anyone have any other recommendations for other replacements? Or would it be recommended to get the stock pickup to get rewound? Cheers!
2.
Did you check the WD music UK' site or the US site ?
Nailed it . For some reason I seemed to miss it on the UK site. Thanks!
3. Only place I've seen black anodized pickguards is on WD music and the shipping is the same as the pickguard itself! Any know where to get one in UK? Or anyone that could make one for me? Cheers guys!
4.
I did the same thing to a Tokai "Hard Puncher" P bass back in 1991 and it worked a treat. The bass is long gone however I currently own a BB714S and it is a top notch alternative to the Attitude (I had one of those too a few years ago)..
Ah cool! Did you have a jazz pickup too? Or just the woofer and P pickup in stereo?
5. Hello everyone So I have plan that may or may not work. I've always been a fan of Billy Sheehan's tone and while the most obvious way to get this tone is to go out and buy a Yamaha Attitude I played one a few years ago and it wasn't for me. I picked up a Squier P Bass body from eBay for £20 delivered so the plan is: Dimarzio Will Power or Model One in the neck position Dimarzio Will Power in the middle Then maybe a Jazz Pickup at the bridge (might not be feasible though) Not sure how the pickup selection process would go with 3 pickups without wiring it stereo.... I know this would require a lot of routing and I probably wouldn't do that myself but we'll see how it goes Any advice will be welcome along the way as this is my first full project! Cheers guys
6.
SO basically your keeping just the body. Prob better selling it and buying a new one. Wd parts necks are nice and so are Allparts ones and little less than the Warmoth ones. but your still speaking of 150 quid or more.
Yeah it was just because I like the green colour of the bass but I have just found an old Squier body with P & J rear routing on eBay near me so why not try a refinish as well! Ideally looking for a flamed maple neck but we'll see how it goes price wise.

Hi everyone I've got a Squier P Bass Special (a P Bass with a Jazz pickup at the bridge and a Jazz neck) in the house and while it's a great little bass to have I've decided to give it a wee upgrade, new electronics, bridge and probably new tuners, (ok so it's basically an overhaul). Just wondering what people think the best replacement necks are for Fender/Squier basses? Are Warmoth ones really worth the money? Cheers guys! Mikey

9. Hi one and all I want to change the pickup in my Squier Musicmaster. Currently it has one of the small vista tone single coils and I was planning on putting something with a bit more oomph. I've been reading a lot about Darkstar pickups but they appear to more rare than hens teeth so that's out the window. Ideally I'm looking for a BIG single coil or humbucker to put in there. Possibly a Dimarzio model one or willpower? I play a mixture of styles but I want this one to have a bit of old school grit about its tone Any input on this would be great
10. Hi everyone I was meant to be joining a three piece band with a guy called Jamie Harper who is a well respected musician in the area but sadly my situation has changed and I can longer make the commitment. A replacement is needed ASAP. He's looking to do gigs most weekends in and around Central Scotland. We were looking to do a mix of covers and some of Jamie's own tunes, give his stuff a listen here http://www.jamieharper.moonfruit.com/ If you want any more info get in touch and I'll put you through to the man himself! Thanks for looking Michael
11. Hi there Any chance you would sell the 4B on its own? How much would you want for it??
12. Hey mate Just wondering if this cab is still around?? Cheers
13. Start of a new week BUMP
14. Cheers man! Yeah if I was gigging I would definitely keep this and use it but it's just taking up space. Also it's definitely just a cab I'm selling :-)

19. I highly doubt he has to 'resort' to this. I imagine he designed them due to demand rather than necessity. Players love J basses due to their heritage but just want to change some things from the original that you can't do yourself i.e. neck radius or body wood.
20. Just wondering if anyone has tried one of Alan's shiny new J Types? http://www.acguitars.co.uk/Available/21/ Look very nice and very possibly a future investment for me. Cheers Michael
21. Just having a wee nosey on the Bay of e and found this sitting quite cheap and with not much time left http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hohner-Professional-The-Jack-4-String-Headless-bass-guitar-/260982753531?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item3cc3c8c8fb#ht_693wt_932 Think it's quite a looker and for £150 (£170 including shipping) wouldn't be a bad price Anybody think it's it worth that? Might bid for it myself actually haha
22.
Got this for the Snarling dogs 'wonder wah' - I would presume that the 'wah' circuit is based around the same idea, but with a couple of capacitor alterations to allow for more low end... http://i69.photobuck.../SD-WW-Pg-2.jpg Sorry, I haven't got anything else at the moment.
Ahhh cheers mate! I'll have a look and see what I can rustle up with this new info. Gonna give the manufacturers a call see if they can shed some more light on this Thanks again
