1.
I recently approached Alex about the Tokai Hard Puncher that he's selling. Although I haven't bought it (mainly because I haven't been able to try it out in person), Alex went out of his way to try and help me come to a decision, including recording a video of him playing the bass just so I could get a rough idea of how it sounds. Whilst I was humming and hawing around for ages, Alex was really patient and helpful with me, which says a lot about the kind of person, and the kind of Basschat forum member he is. So, thanks a lot Alex - sorry it didn't work out this time! And for anyone else looking to deal with him, you can take it from me and everyone else who's already left feedback here, that Alex is a great person to deal with. Cheers Nik
Thanks Nik hopefully you find the right bass for you.
 2. Now the owner of a Vox AC15 C1 boy it's alot louder than I thought it would be. It's in absolutely immaculate condition, the previous owner takes good care of his gear (cracking gear he's got too). Thanks everyone for the suggestions
 3. Pulled the trigger pick the amp up either tomorrow night or saturday morning

 5.
For that amount of money, you could buy six old bangers and drive them all to the Nurburgring ...
6. That is outstanding! If only I could justify buying that
 7. I may be missing something but what makes this bass 1979 if it's stamped 1981?
 8. That's a mental colour. Good mental though GLWTS
 9. Beautiful! The photo is messing with my head though. That bend in the wall with the white binding (the correct word escapes me just now) yet the bass is straight i need to go home from work now...
 10.
I'm here... sorry was on another call... I have a Moollon Classic P which I ordered last year. Faded Sonic Blue with a Mint guard... Like you I had P GAS but wanted something a little different. Not sure how much I read into the bumpf about emulating Pre CBS Fenders but it is an exceptional instrument. Light, beautifully crafted, with a lovely purity and resonance to the tone. I'm also very fond of the clay dots and dark ebony fretboard... it has a wonderful figure to it. They are made in small batches so you have to wait a little while for them to be put together post order. Very easy process though, communication was great throughout. When I ordered mine (around this time last year I think) It was $2299 and then the import duty on top, so they are not cheap but it's a wonderful instrument and I don't begrudge a penny of the cost Interestingly of all the basses I've been through over the years it's this one that has generated the most interest by far... I've had Three BCers over for a test drive, chat and cup of tea over the past year. You'd be more than welcome to come and try it for yourself if you find yourself at a loose end in North London of an evening any time soon...
Looks smashing that!
