1. Hmm. With the stage being in the same room as the traders... it won't allow a lot of time for trying out gear (no sessions where everybody is out watching the stage acts either...). Hmm. It's gonna be hellish loud when people do too. Interesting move...
 2. That's ace!
 3.
Recently attempted this monster of a bass line! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEMUBfjHMJY
Bravo. Nice. Nice Sei Singlecut also.
 4.
Just finished reading a John Lennon biography, apparantly after the Beatles split up, Keith Richard stood in on bass for him with Clapton on lead for some televised gig he'd contracted to do. Mind you, I'd heard that Keef (allegedly) re-recorded a lot of Wyman's parts anyway.......so not really news that
That was "The Dirty Mac" put together for the "The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus" - The Beatles were still going at this point. Clapton, Lennon, Mitch Mitchell and Keef... with Ivry Gitlis on violin and Yoko wailing.
 5. Any update?!
 6. I've had a nightmare with couriers of late... nothing to with the shop as they had sent the stuff out as planned. After speaking to them, they said that they were having difficulty tracking and delivering parcels because their computer system was "playing up". Pretty much a nightmare if a failure like this means zero delivery and zero tracking. Of course, what made me even more amused is the following plastered on their website - God only knows what their interpretation of "simplified shipping" is...
 7.
They usually ignore everything I've said and start slapping mentally.
Don't you just hate that? Somebody should tell shop dwelling guitarists that there are usually clean channels on amps also...
 8.
Once I've gone through the controls on an amp or bass, I generally always leave the customer to it.
"Yeah thanks mate, I know, I know..." (rolls all controls up to 11)
 9.
you're asking us how much your wood is worth ?
Indeed. And we haven't even seen it yet.
 10.
It has no cracks or shakes. On further inspection its actually two pieces glued (very well) together approximately 50/50 lengthways. I'll get to work on some pics.
Is it already bookmatched?
 11.
Who?
The guy who's married to Natasha Henstridge
 12.
I've already got my Mark King amp! It even has his signature on it...albeit just a reproduction! That is, of course, because I have a very nice Ashdown MK500 combo. The only amp that could make me go back to Ashdown, it's superb! But Mark never used the ABM stuff, I suspect this will just have been signed as part of his duties endorsing Ashdown. It's cool that he signed it, but it won't add any real value when you look at the used gear market now. When so many awesome items are sitting without a buyer, I doubt many will pay extra for Mark's signature.
I'd pay an extra tenner for an amp with his signature on above the price I'd pay for a non autographed model. That makes a total of a tenner then.
 13. I had the Trace Compressor for many years. Its was OK but for me, its not in the same league as the Multicomp that you mention, or the JoeMeek FloorQ compressor - which is really something quite special. Whatever you choose to do, I hope that you get your compressor issues resolved promptly!
 14.
I agree,she's getting a bit freaky looking,but she is a fantastic musician.
Yup, gone a bit too far with the old surgery me thinks. But hey, if it makes her happy... Mind you, the Imagination Library that she has set up is testament to what a great character she is. With gestures like that, she can have as much surgery as she wants... it's all paid for afterall. And as she is well known for saying, "it takes a lot of money to look this cheap". At least she hasn't lost her sense of humour. Anyway, you only got to look at all the great songs she has written to see what a talent she is. OK, it may not be my preferred style of music but she certainly is a master of penning a good country song. She even made Cat Steven's Peace Train have balls.
 15.
maybe I will try and get time to do the first Singlecut Marseer as a fretless Mmmm.
Don't you mean mwah...? Cool headstock btw
 16.
Well who amoungst us is in a position to criticise someone who plays 8 (I think) instruments and has written some of the best selling songs ever (e.g. "I will always love you").
Indeed, I was schooled on Dolly Parton in my dad's car on the way to school every morning.
 17.
Was this the Live From London thats on the iPlayer?
Yes - it would seem like it.
 18. Up for sale is an unused scratch plates, still with protective plastic wrapper on. £10 + post and it yours.
 19. Not all down to the speaker size, more down to the cab design...
 20.
What's his bass?
Um. Fender Jazz and a Vox thing.
 21. Yeah, about the Ashdown comment. I was taking the piss.
 22.
Needs Tony Stokes to ruin it with a Harmonica solo!
That would be about right. Last word and all that.
 23.
You playing out tomorrow then dude?
Don't know yet. Depends how the computer surgery goes. By the way, check this (if it is what I think it is) acapella track... To have a band of musicians who are masters at their instruments and who can sing like that is ridiculous.
