1.
Why would we know more than your guitar tech?
Indeed, there's quite a few on here, as ou7shined says, that from their arse, speaketh.
 2. If the name puts you off, get the same amp with an Eden badge on... E300T or the Fame BVH300. Same amp, different skin. Still sound the same though... and that's fairly flat. Read the Talkbass comments for a further insight. But then again, for the money, you can't really complain.
 3. Manual here - http://www.gallien.c...1RB-2001RBP.pdf 2001RB setup for Normal Operation: The 2001RB series amplifier is configured for normal operation when you are connecting to any cabinet with a 2 conductor Speakon cable, 1/4” to 1/4” speaker cable or 1/4” to banana plug speaker cable. In this setup, the speaker cabinet is driven by the 540W amp and the 50W tweeter amplifier is not used. If you are using RBH series cabinets, the volume of the tweeter (relative to the woofer’s volume) can be adjusted using the Horn Level control of the cabinet’s internal crossover You are using the first instance - as in the cab will only be driven the 540W amp. So in other words, make sure the amp isn't bridged, plug in your 2 conductor speakon (take the cable apart and you'll only see two cables inside) to the "left" output of the amp, and other speakon at the end of the cable to the EBS cab and you're in business. Forget about the bridging or crossovers, you don't need them in this case.
 4.
Wow thats excellent! That's got me looking at the terror bass in a whole new light. Have you been able to source any orange tolex to cover it and how are you getting access to the DI?
Extension cable to the rear plate maybe? Dunno... guess we'll find out!
 5. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=70420 The above may be useful for anybody having issues with Schaller attachments.
 6. Get another drummer and share the drum seat between two or more drummers. It'll keep you gigging, with other people too... best not to get too precious about it all. Afterall, if it becomes hard work, it's no longer fun. Sounds like the drummer needs some spare time - so see if you can get another on board to gig share with... this keeps you playing with at least one good drummer some of the time. It's better than playing with a not as good drummer all of the time.
 7. Some of Alan's fingerboard woods just floor me. That's another lovely pieve of timber there.
 8. Mmm. Bass drum...
 9. Hmm. With the stage being in the same room as the traders... it won't allow a lot of time for trying out gear (no sessions where everybody is out watching the stage acts either...). Hmm. It's gonna be hellish loud when people do too. Interesting move...
 10. That's ace!
 11.
Recently attempted this monster of a bass line! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEMUBfjHMJY
Bravo. Nice. Nice Sei Singlecut also.
 12.
Just finished reading a John Lennon biography, apparantly after the Beatles split up, Keith Richard stood in on bass for him with Clapton on lead for some televised gig he'd contracted to do. Mind you, I'd heard that Keef (allegedly) re-recorded a lot of Wyman's parts anyway.......so not really news that
That was "The Dirty Mac" put together for the "The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus" - The Beatles were still going at this point. Clapton, Lennon, Mitch Mitchell and Keef... with Ivry Gitlis on violin and Yoko wailing.
 13. Any update?!
 14. I've had a nightmare with couriers of late... nothing to with the shop as they had sent the stuff out as planned. After speaking to them, they said that they were having difficulty tracking and delivering parcels because their computer system was "playing up". Pretty much a nightmare if a failure like this means zero delivery and zero tracking. Of course, what made me even more amused is the following plastered on their website - God only knows what their interpretation of "simplified shipping" is...
 15.
They usually ignore everything I've said and start slapping mentally.
Don't you just hate that? Somebody should tell shop dwelling guitarists that there are usually clean channels on amps also...
 16.
Once I've gone through the controls on an amp or bass, I generally always leave the customer to it.
"Yeah thanks mate, I know, I know..." (rolls all controls up to 11)
 17.
you're asking us how much your wood is worth ?
Indeed. And we haven't even seen it yet.
 18.
It has no cracks or shakes. On further inspection its actually two pieces glued (very well) together approximately 50/50 lengthways. I'll get to work on some pics.
Is it already bookmatched?
 19.
Who?
The guy who's married to Natasha Henstridge
