Fodera seem to be doing quite well for themselves regardless. God only knows why these threads keep on appearing.

Agreed - I think I first saw that on Wal and thought it was hideous. I suppose the choice of woods determines how obvious it is.

Originality is becoming increasingly difficult, especially when you have to build in the characterists of what makes a bass balance and comfortable (e.g. strap fixing point and hence usually the top horn, above the 12th fret).

He's in Stafford and bought the bass unplayed direct from Marleaux. The only collection of Marleauxs I have seen have been at the Bass Day in Manchester... Member here "basstard" had the first one made (he's actually pictured in the catalogue - http://www.marleaux-bass.de/fileadmin/download/Marleaux_Catalogue_2012.pdf ). It's a beauty. Not sure about the control knobs... they look cool in the pictures, not so good up in the flesh but an amazing instrument all the same.

I haven't got the transcription as such but when I had to play this, I found that the guitar pro version I found online was pretty accurate. Quality bass lines, most overlooked. I even started working on a looper version of the song... but got bored. Shame as it was sounding ace at one point.
