  1. ... looks very well made to me 😊.
  2. Just traded cabs with Ash. All fine with deal and whilst having a nice chat I got a little play on his ace Squiers, cheers.
  3. Price seems fairly good for what it is: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fender-60-4-String-Jazz-Bass-Orange-w-Hard-Case/283155831575?hash=item41ed671b17:g:T1oAAOSw64tbmNtE
  4. One point that hasn’t been mentioned is that if one of the power amps fail on a gig you’d still be able to use the second power amp. So you would have a spare amp in the same box if needs be 🙂
  5. Hi Jeff, Great to have you on here and hope you're doing well. Cracking vid by the way
  6. Hey all, Just bought an amp from Perry . All good and even dropped it off at my sisters for me. Recommended BC'er folks. Peace.
  7. I'll take it please (please see PM).
  8. I’ve played a few All Parts necks and they have all been top notch, from what I remember the ones I’ve played have been thicker front to back (more D profile). If I was building a jazz and I had the option of an All Parts neck I’d definitely take it.
  9. + 1, great stuff and thanks for sharing 😎
  10. I used to have one of these in natural (bought from Ash ages ago). The neck was very nice to play having a fairly flat profile and the sound it made was very pleasant IIRC. I think I sold it for not much less than this price (and that was around 10 years ago now!).
  11. Hey folks, Ovi bought my Streamer LX from me. The whole deal went smoothly with very good communication by him. He’s a great BCer and I wouldn’t hesitate to deal with him again. Peace.
  12. This is now sold folks, thanks for the interest. Please freeze post thanks mods.
  13. Hey all, I'm thinking of selling this Warwick Streamer LX BO Broadneck 5 string bass. I bought it on here a few years ago and want to move it on as it's not my go to bass. It's in an ok general condition and is currently strung with half wounds. It's perfectly useable, but certainly not pristine and the price reflects this, see below for more info; i. The neck is perfectly playable but the B string side has a small amount more relief on it than the G string side (this has ii. been so on most of my many wicks I've had in the past). ii. The action is fairly low as is, but there is a small amount of feet buzz on the G string around fret 4 or 5 when played harder. I’ve just done a week session on it as is with no probs though. iii. There is some random hole from the control cavity into the neck pickup cavity (can’t see it unless you take out the pickup). Think they got it wrong in the factory on the first go of the pickup cabling tbh!! iv. The body join near the neck bolts on the rear of the bass is more visible than in other areas. v. The frets are finished fairly poorly on one or two ends along the fretboard. vi. The double octave neck side dots are have been put in slightly wonky. vii. The black plastic oval shape on the battery connector is loose, battery connection still fine however. I bought it on here a few years ago for around £630 IIRC or so and have bought a new bridge saddle, new gold control knobs and the gold Schaller strap locks. I’m fairly picky about my basses and did think it was a bit of a ‘Friday’ bass, but in reality it’s plays well and it's nice to have a bass as I’m not overly precious about it (my other basses are a SS1 5 string and a Thumb 5 fretless BO Broadneck). Sound wise the bass is fairly mid focussed when set flat, say compared to the SS1 that is more open, due to this it sits nicely in a mix. The body is oiled maple (with a nice flame), neck Ovangkol and the fretboard Wenge. It has a 2 band MEC preamp and 2 MEC soapbar pickups. The string spacing is the Broadneck width, so the same as a SS1 5 string at 20mm +/- a bit. It comes with a set of Schaller straplocks. Info from the Warwick site: Serial number: E07512400 Article number: 1215150000GZFMAOBW produced: 2000-05-24 Description: Streamer, 5-string Natural Oil finish Flamed Maple A body Ovangkol neck Gold hardware Made in Germany Any questions just PM me please. For the asking price it’s a very good deal, it has it’s rough points, however overall it’s a pretty decent bass. I prefer to forward on any deals I get on here, hence the price. It's collection only from Halifax, West Yorkshire and I'm after £550. Peace.
  14. Yup it was! I had all this work done by Jon Shuker when I managed to snap the truss rod! I think tbh it's probably at least as good, if not better than when it left the factory spec wise. The neck was thinned slightly when the fingerboard was taken off (front to back) and a new higher spec trus rod, wenge fret board with some very well installed and finished stainless steel frets were added. Jon does some great refinishing work. The body had another blue tint applied over it to hide some previously done body surface damage, the neck also has a light coat of PU on it to prevent it from shifting in the future. I sold it on here for a while back for peanuts!
  15. .... lol, reminds me of Letters of a Timewaster ha ha!
  16. Now sold folks, thanks for the interest. Please freeze.
  17. Hey all, Matt just bought my Double Bass for his instrument collection, no worries all around! Peace.
  18. Hey there Pazza, I've been having some lessons with Paul Baxter (https://halifaxbasslessons.wixsite.com/halifaxbasslessons). He's a pro upright/electric player and knows his stuff very well and teaches in the Norton Tower area of Halifax. Peace, Jim.
  19. I use a Radial bigshot i/o instrument selector (passive) and I also have a Radial Tonebone Bassbone (active with EQ and DI) for that purpose. Both great quality, the passive one is a lot cheaper mind you!
