Mdp seems to be uncannily similar to multi wave processing a la soundblox perhaps? The vids do pique my interest- they definitely deserve some play time. It'll be interesting to see the price point too

The chord bod50 is pretty good for the money- about £35 new I've had good results with the hardwire tube od - around £40 s/h via ebay

Fortunately there is a gig bag, so no one will see you take it away

I've not experienced any volume drop at all with the crossover in use.

A friend just picked up a tc electronic bh250 for £235 He is over the moon with it, and has promised to let me have a try I'm sorely tempted myself now though - without even trying it! damned GAS!

It must be said that denmark street is not as bad as it recenty used to be Some new blood there and no music ground in sight! It might not have loads of boutique gear, but there are some nice instruments there across the stores

I used to have a similar problem. I took a leave from dimebag darrell's book, and started to use tortex picks (1.14/ purple) and use a Stanley knife to score the sides which leave the sides much easier to grip and keep still in your fingers

I had a chance to ab them earlier today. The fuzz is very similar if not identical. The Dlx though seems to have more mid content than I would expect from a big muff ( although not by a huge amount) It sits in a mix much better than the bbm. The blend control works wonders here, rather than the fixed blend of the bbm. The crossover needs to be set carefully though or I found it tended to sound a little nasal in the mix. I settled on a setting as it turns out quite close to one of the sample settings in the little brochure/ leaflet. IMO its worth it's £89 to me, just to have useful muff sound, although for my main band I think the bfd will be staying on my board. As a standalone fuzz for an 'average' band content wise- definitely worth a good look
