1. I could do a trade for a good US/MIJ Precision with cash my way. Hell, might even take a Jazz!

3. Soooo nice! Why do I have to be soooo skint?
4. BUMPO for offers? Have old case now so will post.
5. I can get hold of an old hard case so should be able to ship.
6. What it boils down to is that after doing my sums today I need the money pure and simple. I only got this what seems like a few weeks ago and has been my pride and joy. The pictures don't do it any justice as the quality is outstanding. There's not a mark on it. Here's the spec from Mr. Shuker 4 string thru neck 34" scale 24 frets wenge, paduak, maple laminated neck ebony f/board medium fretwire two way adjustable truss rod myrtlewood head veneer black walnut body core myrtlewood facings (front and rear) polyester basecoat gloss polyurethane topcoat black hardware schaller 2000 bridge EMG Hz pickups EMG BQS 3 band circuit Gotoh tuners Here's some pics So there it is. I paid £900 so I would be looking for the same. I would rather not post the bass as I dont have a hard case at the moment so its collection or possible meet up. Cheers, Paul
7. Precision scratchplate arrived quickly and great care was taken with the packing to ensure it arrived undamaged. Cheers Pablo
8.
Relatively cheap, too. I thought it would be twice that price.
I think the maple fingerboard ones go for more but I agree for what it is, its a good price.
9. Oh nuts, its US bidders only! Incredible
10.
That's expensive for a bunch of Allparts bits that have been dragged behind a car.
I bet these basses are superb and I would love to have a play on one. There's obviously a lot of work gone into getting the bass to that level of 'relic' and the attention to detail is second to none. I'd love a '60s Precision' like this but I just dont think I would pay more than £700 second hand but thats just me.
11.
Not trying to hi-jack Happy Jack's thread but this one does it for me but what difference would/could the replaced pots make? I suppose irt could depend on the parts used even if it was genuine Fender parts? BB
With the experiences that I've had replacing pots or basses with replaced pots(as long as the values are matched) makes no difference that I can tell. I would be more annoyed with the extra holes for the bridge cover. But besides that its a very nice bass.
12. I don't like that Precision bass much.... Nice pair Russ!
13.
if the neck had been totally refinished could that just be botched replacement decal?
I would guess so. The neck and tuners are correct for the pre '73 type. I think its a lovely bass which just needs a little sorting out.
14. Look at the logo, all wrong! Everything else looks ok. Otherwise a nice bass which could do with the proper decal applied by somebody who knows what their doing.

17. That is one nice Sandberg!
18. This ain't sold? - Blimey. The only reason I didn't buy it was because it had one too many strings. It really is a cracking bass and I cant wait to get mine!
19. My serial number starts 503. The post are a late '73 and the pups are '73. The bass as far as I know could have been put together mid '74. I guess this one was made in early 1975 with '74 parts? Minefield!
20. The bass looks good. The thumb rest is in the correct position for the year. '73 '74 was a transition period for the whole thumb rest thing. But I do think its way over priced. This one ain't too bad. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1973-FENDER-P-BASS-P...emZ190311352678 Not 100% original but it wouldn't bother me.
21. Its one stunning cab! My Precision sounded fantastic through that rig.
22.
You could pimp the Japanese one with a nice new pickup. Otherwise....just blow your stash on a nice new MIA and whack some Thomastic Flats on there, splendid.
I would defiantly go for a second hand Precision over a new one and save yourself a few quid. Not that I like Precisions you know! How you getting on with your old plank Russ?
23.
It is frustrating! Anyone wanna buy an EBS cab with an annoying buzz? Haha.
It would be well suited to my annoying playing! If I lived closer I'd like to check it out and I'm sure its fixable. Silly question but its nothing to do with the front grill?
