1.
Hi Michael What about a REAL 75? Might be persuaded to part with it Dave
Oh my that Jazz is lovely and would be a perfect partner for my '73 Precision!
 2. I've seen quite a lot of black 70s Fenders with the same finish crazing. My '73 Precision is black and it has the same 'issue' so yours is by no means an exception. If it was mine I wouldn't do a thing to it as I quite like it when they go that way! But if its not your cup of tea go for it. As long as its a good re-fin it shouldn't do much to the value. How about a natural finish?
 3. Lovely bass, I'd love it. Have a bump on me!
 4. How frustrating this must be. You've got me checking mine out now but I cant think of anything that it could be.
 5.
I always thought Thumbs have 26 frets... somebody clarify for me, please. Nice bass. How do you know it´s a Thumb??
NT's have 26 frets, at least mine did. Not that I ever used all of 'em!
 6.
Agreed to meet around half way, on time, talked it all through really nice guy, gave me some good advice and had a chat through some bass stuff once again, a credit to the forum. Happy to deal with him
Why thank you. Its always a pleasure to put faces to user names! Hope the bass works out for you
 7. If it is the speaker you could get it reconed by these guys. http://www.wembleyloudspeaker.com Their very good and have reconed speakers for me in the past.
 8.
Thanks to Paul for selling it to me, and I'm afraid mate it won't be coming back to you anytime soon. This bass is exactly what I was after. It's a total stonker.
Bugger! No, its great you like it, I knew you would as you said you liked the more 'aggressive' sound. My old '73 is more mellow/smooth which I prefer. Here's a bit more Precision porn.
 9.
are they really as good as everyone says??
Yes! They are good. There well made, comfortable necks and big output. Versatile, IMHO no. They do what they do and do it great. (Saying that I've never owned a fancy HH model). After years of owning Stingrays and Precisions I've settled with the Fender simply because I prefer the midrange thump you get with a Pbass. If money was no problem I'd have a Ray any day of the week.
 10. I'm sorry to bump this back to the top but I do feel compelled to post. I did withdraw the bass due to CK's comments. Now by no means am I any expert on Moduli so I cannot say he is wrong or not but if anybody (especially somebody in his position) that posts a comment about a body/neck issue it would certainly give me doubts about buying it. Now I'm sure that discrediting the bass or the sale of the bass was not CK's intention but a casual comment from a fellow bassist but like I said it might put somebody off buying it. I priced it for what I thought would be a quick sale as I didn't really need a fretless and I have bills to settle but I wasn't prepared to drop the price any further. I've been in touch with The Gallery who are now going to get it fretted and I'll probably keep it. Cheers. Paul
 11. A Westone Thunder Jet was my very first bass...... ^_^ happy days!
 12.
I haven't forgoten mate. Like I said, with my track record for turning stuff over, I could never hand on heart say anything is for ever, but I do like this bass an awful lot, so I live in hope. How are you getting on with the Shuker/ACG basses you went to check out?
I came home with the Shuker in the end but if the ACG was a 4 string it would have been a very tough decision. Seriously I hope the bass is a keeper and I'm delighted you're getting on with it.
 13.
Don't ask me if it's a keeper, many of you know me by now, and know that I can't answer that, but I'm very happy with it.
Remember what I said......
 14.
Drop...dead....gorgeous.
+1
 15. Is the scratch plate original and how many bolts hold the neck on? sorry I know I shouldn't!
 16. Great to see you Russ. Cheers and enjoy the Precision!
 17. At this rate I'll have no basses left! Anyway I've decided to put the Corvette up for grabs. Its a 1996 bubinga/wenge model with passive MEC pups. The neck is very slim, lots slimmer than the Thumb I used to have and the frets are great. The bubinga is lovely with only a little play ware around the pups. There is a bit of rash on the back along with some small indentations but nothing horrendous and it doesnt look half as bad as it dose on the photo. I only have a soft case so no posting. I can meet any buyer within reasonable distance. There is a strap with the strap locks fitted. Dont miss out on this one, its a good'un! Paul
 18.
£600?? you sure? Id love another Modulus. I would have bit your hand off 2 weeks ago when I knew I had job security but now im saving for just incase. Shame, its beautiful!!!!! Good luck with the sale, I dont think you'll need it at that price.
Thanks and all the best
 19.
the first two digits of the serial number should give you the year. I'm betting its 89-93?
Spot on! Its a 1990.
 20. I'm reluctantly putting my fretless up for grabs. I love playing the bass but because 1. I'm useless on a fretless and 2. It'll never get used in the band it seem stupid to keep it for the occasional home noodling. Its in great shape and has one of the most unusual finishes I've seen, photos dont capture just how lovely it is. Its a blueburst on quilted maple with an ebony board. EMG PJ 18v pups and recently strung with Status half wounds. It sounds superb even in my clumsy hands! I dont have a hard case for shipping so its collection or meet up's (within reasonable distance). Any questions just ask. I'm not looking for any trades thanks. Cheers Paul
 21.
And Paul, as you probably know, is a real nice bloke.
Its a lie people, don't believe him!
 22. I hate low actions. When I have to I take my basses to a techie for any work thats needed and he always sets them up. To be fair he dose a wonderful job but he sets it up to how HE likes basses. (Very fast). So on return home I undo all his good work!
