1. My God! You'll really regret selling the old Precision, dont do it!! Sell the wife?
2.
here you go:- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Fender-USA-57-Precis...=item33565c734d
Lovely innit! I'd love to have a go on one but I guess it'll be a long time before I even see one in a shop 'round here.
3. Its stunning. I'm in love! It only fuels my GAS for a '57 reissue.
4. I still haven't been able to try one! Each time I go in to Birmingham's PMT they never have one. I owned an '01 Precision and foolishly sold it because IMHO it was one of the best P basses I've played.
5.
trade for ebs 4x10 proline?
PM'd Cheers Wayne. I'd be happy to do swapsies with a bass of the same value (£650) but it would have to be sold to fund next years trip down under.
6. I guess do your homework on the deals available. The interest rated can be very high so you might want to consider a bank loan or even a credit card where the overall payback total will be less (as long as you are sensible, unlike me)!
7.
No-one?!
Wish I could! The wait for mine is getting unbearable now.
8. EBS are great cabs and after owning a few different types of them I settled for the two Pro Line 4x10s. For cabs with lots of bottom I'd try Markbass cabs (from experience) as they seem pretty big on the bass thing!
9.
Is it only me that, undoubted rarity value aside, thinks it looks 'okay'?
Okay? just okay? ....... I mean just - okay....? really, just okay? Peter, well really! :snob:
10. Ten grand on a good vintage Fender or Ten grand on a motor? I'll be taking the bus thanks. Yeah its a boat load of money, well certainly for me but in my book its worth it. Remember you'll more than likely get it for a few quid less with your suitcase of cash!
11. I think its one of the nicer Traben basses I've seen.
12.
i don't doubt that it's a brilliant bass as laklands suposedly are, and most of them look good, but that's odd looking, like a cartoon version of a '57 fender
Well it is a 'Donald Duck' Dunn..... I'll get me coat.
13. I like it but why dont they put the old reverse type tuners on it? My Lakland Skyline DD is one belting Precision, if I do say so myself! Maybe slightly heavier than I would like but certainly not an issue.
14. If I had the kind of money which allowed me to buy a bass like that I'd have it. People pay a fortune for questionable works of 'art' and buy new cars and loose thousands as the drive it out the showroom. Its a great investment piece.
15. Welcome and all the bast to you!
16.
PM sent !!
And replied
17. Due to over stretching my finances I'm going to have to part with my Jazz bass. This is an 'A' series Squier from around, I guess 1985-86 ish. Its in not too bad nick with just a few small knocks and play ware, most noticeably a dink where the paint has come away on the bottom edge of the body roughly about 10mm. The pickups have been replaced with Wizard 64s and I doubt that the scratch plate is original. The body colour is very off white but the camera dosnt pick this up. So what with the 'mojo' (dont like that phrase either) it looks pretty vintage. The bass comes with a gig bag but I could also post it in a tatty old hard case. So there you go. I have to admit that I'm not sure what its worth £250 + P&P? Cheers, paul
18. Is there any Australians here who would say that this is a good price or not? I for one think its a bit OTT. Lets see if it sells or not.
19.
And I thought you were going to go smaller ! You know your back wont like it Its gonna be one hell of a rig !
My back hates me even more now!
20.
Just out of interest, whats the weight of these things?
Here's the details of the cab * Impedance: 6 ohms * Speaker size: 6 x 10" * Bass ports: rear * Tweeter: 1" compression driver with custom horn * Power Handling: 1200W RMS (AES Standard) * Crossover Frequency: 3.5kHz * Frequency Response: 45Hz to 20kHz * Sensitivity: 104 dB SPL * Weight: 71.18 lbs. * Dimensions: 23.4"W x 34.2"H x 18.9"D
