After a short stay in the midlands my former P bass is back safely in the northwest. During its soujour it has been beatifully looked after and Ian was kind enough to go out of his way to deliver it to me at a familiar location. Great bloke, deal in confidence fellow BCers.

Just sold a bass to Alan. Top gent and maker of excellent cups of tea, not to mention a nice stash of my favourite basses. Deal in confidence peeps. Top banana and deffo one of the guys that makes this place tick so well.

Sort of reverse order: Cabs - Sorted - Barefaced, been using them for several years now. Recent switch from Compact/Midget to a single Suoer Compact Amps - Pretty much sorted - GB Streamliner (with Ampeg PF500 backup) been using the Streamline for several years too. It;s possible that at some point I'll sell the PF500 and get another Streamliner. However never tried a LM3. Basses - Self confessed tart - However for the covers band settling towards a P bass as the optimum, for the originals band ACGs are the way for me (with occasional Spector Euro 4LX use).

That Ned Callan is definitely growing on me as a possibility.

Nobody massive. But I was at the show where IQ recorded Live On The Road of Bones and also for the reasonably recent Karnataka live DVD.

My hovercraft is full of eels.

I used to use a Jazz bass into a Genz Benz Streamliner / Barefaced Compact / Midget more for monitoring as I'd DI Into the PA. Jazz or P basses seem to work pretty well.

Not to mention young Mr 40Hz's USA Sub.

My Greco was a 34" scale and from my recollection so is the one currently f/s. I'm currently gassing over a very fine 32" scale ACG Mum's the word of course and mention it not to the ever tolerant Mrs ead.

I have no frame of reference unfortunately, but I used to own this one (a little earlier in time than the black one on here) and it was a perfectly decent bass. The tone you describe is certainly there but didn't suit either of the bands I play in.

There's a nice looking Greco EB-3 alike on here for sensible money....nothing to do with me I should add.
