1.
I don't like marmite, but I've never thought it worth starting a thread about.
How can you not like Marmite?!?!
2.
I've played on a few recently & the necks have been incredible - the comfiest I've ever played. The other benefit is it stops you being precious about little knocks & dings - those of us in heavier bands know how easy it is for other people to scratch your gear when playing!
This would be the main benefit IMO. The aging on the back of the neck is the most important thing. I generally only buy secondhand as I prefer not having to worry too much about the instrument, and I do worry about it with pristine brand new instruments. That said, I'd much prefer a "light relic" with a thin skin to a heavy relic - just enough to be secondhand.
3. Pop into TinyPic.com (:
4. It's not a difficult mod but you're better off upping your budget to £200 IMO
5. Might nab his from you for the school where I teach (:
6.
Just had a thought (several hours ago). Why not buy another P-bass like the one I have, a J-bass bridge pick up and some other bits, and turn that into a PJ?
Adds cost, assuming your aim is to keep that down.
7. Could I nick these too if you haven't sent the body yet?
8. Glad you're all right mate!!
9. P/Js look wrong to me, although I'm sure they're more versatile. I really wish Sadowsky would bring a Metro P back out again. I can't bring myself to spend that sort of money on a P/J, or double in to get an NYC just because there's no Metro version ):
10. Noooooooooooo ): Been looking for one of these for years.
11.
I've accidentally purchased another Precision
😜 Hope you're well, Jay!
12. Shukers are obviously very well made but normally don't really do it for me. THAT, however, is STUNNING.
13. Do these have a nitro finish?
14.
NBD means New Bass Day, usually posted when the poster has received a new bass. Unlikely that they'll want to sell it on the day they received it. ... well, there are one or people on this forum who might 😁

Karlfer might (I'm off before he sees this. I'm already on a yellow card)
Well I wasn't going to name any names 😉
15. Could be basswood at that weight. 3.2kg for a Precision is outrageous
16. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/172506113672 Wow.
17.
I don t understand if you sell it or not
NBD means New Bass Day, usually posted when the poster has received a new bass. Unlikely that they'll want to sell it on the day they received it. ... well, there are one or people on this forum who might 😁
18. Looks great. Late 60s logo though? Does Mark do finish checking as part of his relic process?
19. Desperately looking around the house for something to put these in!!
20. I've not found a way to figure out which ones fit as Hipshot don't list any measurements on their website ):
21. There was a thread about these recently. http://basschat.co.uk/topic/298163-hb-fan-fret-singlecut-5er/page__fromsearch__1
22. I believe the Scott Devine model has a flat board.
