2.
im curious why do ebs cabs cost so so much more than normal cabs?
Because they're bloody amazing, that's why! This cab, for example, has Neo drivers which make it much lighter than most 2x10s, and it also has an outstanding sensitivity rating, meaning that for a give amp, it will produce more volume than most other cabs. The design of the cab itself also plays a part.
 3.
Just changed amp so am selling my HA3500 350W head. Pre-amp has both transistor and Valve sections that can be blended, a really good compressor and graphic that lights up with little red LED's. There is a bit of damage (see pics), the 30Hz slider still works but the grey plastic bit, including the aforementioned LED, has got lost along the way This was before I put it in the flight case, which is a polycarbonate 19" case. Looking in soundcontrol today it is essentially a Gator case, in fact exactly the same just no logo, they are about £60 new. If you don't want the flight case case, I do still have the original box. So Amp in case £230. I am open to reasonable offers If it needs to be posted, it weighs 15Kg and that would be extra. I am very happy to 'meet half way'. I live in Milton Keynes.
Aargh, where were you two weeks ago when I was looking for one of these exactly... Good price people, jump on this!
 4. One of the fingerboard markers on my OLP MM3 has fallen out, leaving a hole where it used to be! Does anyone know where I can get another? Or any other suggestions, such as filling it with clay, or acrylic, or minced beef?
 5.
bump
Was very tempted at 400 quid... 600 quid is still a good deal for such a high quality amp. Out of my price range unfortunately, and I've just bought a poweramp setup. A friendly bump for an awesome amp.
 6.
you're welcome - a happy ending is what counts
For the curious - the F9 is a tritone substitution for a B dominant (which is a nice dominant to use when going to the next chord, which is an E major 7 type chord).

 8. I have a beautiful Bassix electric upright bass, custom made for me by Alan Hatswell in Kent. It is made of composite materials, is lightweight and impervious to changes in temperature and humidity, etc. Set up with a fairly low action for easy playing. Active electronics with 2-band EQ. Removable abalone side dots. In my opinion, this is one of the best-looking electric uprights around... it ALWAYS gets a great response and I have gotten quite a few gigs purely because someone saw me playing it. It also sounds great, as good as or better than pretty much any amplified upright I have tried. I can email an MP3 of a recording I did with it a couple years ago. For more information, have a look at this page. Mine looks similar to that pictured, except with a "natural" faux finish. http://www.bassix.net/history_3.php The black sloping shoulder is removable and can be reattached sideways-on giving a very compact portable form factor. Comes with a gig-bag, and in its collapsed form fits easily into almost any car. In smaller cars you may have to have the neck between the front seats, but it's still a LOT more portable than an acoustic upright. Looking for £800 or trades / part ex for a lightweight electric bass rig or similar. Photos to follow.
