1.
Cheers.....It is a superb instrument.....john
Yeah - I was out at 7strings house today and he said it's an absolute belter. Checked it out and thought wow!
 2. Absolutely stunning bass! Best of luck!

 4. Had a Squier version that was OK to play but great sounding live - really beasts thru the mix!
 5.
It's not a Surveyor. It is, however, a 400 Series Jazz bass, probably one of the finest Jazz basses you're ever going to lay your hands on. Well done, that's a serious instrument you've got there. Doesn't look like the original scratchplate though, it doesn't follow the shape of the body around the lower horn. Still, that's a major score, they're seriously top quality basses.
Sorry mate - you're right - it's not a Surveyor....had the name on the insane membrane!
 6.
HAHAHA, I did mean 3,750 smarties though
Doh!
 7.
Very difficult to say because despite being a cracking bass and quite rare, they are more of a unknown and only worth something to the owner rather than of any value. I would never sell mine as it has sentimental value and is the best Jazz bass I have owned but its worth more to me than what I could sell it for. You could say £600 but I think you would struggle to get that because you could get a Jap Fender 62RI for £300 - £400 and a MIA Jazz for £600. So maybe £3,750 is nearer the correct mark but to be honest I really do not know.
Wow! OK!

Liking the look of it!
 9.
Yep, congrats, you have a great great bass and pretty rare as it has the European headstock. Doctor J is also correct in saying its a 400 Series Jazz. I have one also and I think 3 others here do. They were made at the same factory as Jap Fenders and based on the 62 Fender. They were considered better than Fenders which personally I think they are. Its the nicest bass I own. I am currently having a fretless neck made for it by Shuker (did not want to defret the original) which I should get back soon. If you ever decide to sell then give me a shout as I may take it of your hands.
What are they worth? (I'm a Scot!)
 10.
Lucky man!! I want it. Its like the Fender 50th Anniversary but better value. +1 a simple white scratchplate would look nicer.
May do that!
 11. I can confirm that this is a beautiful bass and the B-string sings....... ...surely a name change from 7string required!
 12.
I had the pleasure to be hired to shoot a collection of vintge, rare and classic guitars and basses. Here's a PRS that I really, really wish was mine. It plays even better than it looks. If any of you ever want your cherished basses photographed - gimme a shout
As Frank Macca would say, 'Where's the burd?'
 13.
Very nice. ESPs are superb quality instruments. If I was looking for a Jazz bass I'd be as happy as a pig in sh*t with that.
Much appreciated mate - a wee bit of tidying up work required but that can get done soon.
 14. Go to the shops and play each of them. I've just found my wee fingers suit a J better. Had a PJ Special Squier for a while but it had the wide P-neck.
 15. Well? Does it have the X-Factor? Bought today off Gumtree. Thanks to 7String who gave it a quick once over and clean up then refused any money (yaldy! I'm from Paisley - but I'll get him to set it up soon!) Sorry the pics are not the best but I'm itching to get plucking.
 16. I was gonna buy the cow bass until Sir Awex Ferguson spoke yesterday!
 17. On hold!
 18. Still can't see the bass in the photos! I think this bugger adds 20% to his prices and nobody notices!
 19. Cheers guys! Maybe I should keep it!
 20. Boyashaka!
 21.
I'd snap this up if I didn't have two identical ones already (different finishes)..... I'm trying to convince a couple of mates that one of them needs to buy it, that way I can at least be near it!
I'm only really selling so I can get a Geddy Lee. If that goes I'll probably have a rethink mate but thanks for the boost! (Now - where's the 'blow a kiss' smiley?)

...but I need to sell mine first!
 24.
As endorsed by (well, nearly...)
Like it!
 25. Can anyone show me where the bass is?
