1. Is it still fashionable to look down on Sting? I think he's great and has some great bass lines. Love his old P-bass and he still has the 2-barrel bridge whereas many would swap it out! So - big up for Gordie and his beat up bass! I'd love a shot of one - any info on how the sound?

 11.
It went to a guitarist from the dark lands at the east of the country who wanted to start a wedding band. As with all guitarists bass must have been too hard for him. Last I saw it was for sale on Gumtree.
Thought I spotted it!
 12. The Hohner's are great for rehearsals and carrying about. I gigged from 1987-190 with one and I think I only changed the strings once! If I has a spare double ton about!
 13.
I imagine most of you will already be aware of Mark (7 string on here) who carries out repairs and set ups in Glasgow. I had my Lakland 55-01 set up by him and I'm stunned by how much better and easier to play the bass is. He's done a fantastic job at a very cheap price. I'd definately recommend him if you need anything done.
Haw you! Get up to speed! He's great! What happened to my pride and joy Jazz! ps - x 2 for the big-up!

 18.
Hi Guys, I'll cut a long story short here - in December last year I sold what I believed to be a genuine Gibson Les Paul. The buyer has now come back to me and is claiming the serial is a fake. Before I refund his money and take back possession of the guitar I'd like to check as best I can that he is at least, in turn, being honest with me. The serial number in question is as follow: 80645481 Is there anyway to learn conclusively if this is indeed the genuine article or a fake as he claims? In the email I received, he goes on to list a number issues with the guitar suggesting that the serial number is far being the only thing fake about it. Any information about the number and other things to watch for would be very helpful indeed. Not least because I sent the guitar to the guy in London and he has now returned to Argentina - I'm assuming he would like me to refund his money to a bank in Argentina and then he will ship the guitar to me. Should I use an escrow service? Jings - my head is done in! Many thanks - Andy.
pm me his name cos I had a lot of trouble last year from an Argentinian in London who was leaving soon and could you do this, that etc until I told him to either pay or f*** off. He chose the latter. ps - He may have swapped your genuine Gibbo for a fake - that way he gets the guitar for nothing other than the price of a fake.
 19. Great bass, great price, I'm rooked!
 20. Cheers guys - Ira Coleman it is! Looks like he got a freebie sig bass from the G-ordey!
 21.
I use Sennheiser inears - CX300s I think. If you can cope with inears (and some people can't) they're really good, and for £30, a cheaper option. With a good seal, they reproduce a lot of bass. Used them for studio monitoring, too, as I'm used to their sound. The Beyers are industry standards and very very good, but too pricey for me.
I use these too - got 2 pairs for £20 on some site about 6 months ago to replace my iPod phones. dv247?
 22. Watched this last night and was blown away - especially by 'This Cowboy Song' - and really enjoyed the overall feel of it. There was a classical bass player but also another guy playing a sunburst bass. Anyone know who he is and what he was playing? Thanks in advance!
