  1. I purchased it online from the US, I’ve been after one for a while and was getting the same response from every supplier (owing to their Mesa dealer agreement they wouldn’t ship outside the US) then last Thursday I enquired with another supplier over there who was happy to ship to the UK - sent the international funds transfer Friday AM, and it was tracked/arrived safely today. I’ve tried it this evening with my Aguilar GS412 and it sounds great, everything I’d hoped for and more, also got a Barefaced Big Twin that I use, looking forward to trying it in anger, although the rack Mount kit hasn’t arrived yet…. Currently on back order with Mesa Boogie and, try as I might, I couldn’t find any availability anywhere else. Mesa have said the back order should clear in approx 2 to 3 weeks.
  2. Wow! Just love it! Very obviously early days but just had 30 minutes with it and love the ability to have the two channels set up, one for a utility/general profile/EQ and then the Boogie channel for more of a boosted/overdriven channel. Straight out the box I like it a lot, keen to see how it will sit in the band mix but first impressions are impressive. Well worth the money IMHO😎😁👍🏻🤘
  3. Is it home time yet? DHL just dropped this off for me to play with later…. Can’t wait!
  4. Sarum's Lot had a cracking gig in Qudos Bar & Grill in Salisbury. We haven't played there for around three years as the pub decided they were going to concentrate on food and B&B's etc, it's a great venue, very close to the City centre and the place was quite busy when we arrived, and continued to fill up nicely whilst we set up. Lots of regular followers ensured the gig was one to remember - singing along and dancing from the off, it was a fantastic night and I'm really looking forward to returning there in November. No photos sadly 🙂
  5. Unbelievable Jeff! I’d been on the look out for one of these for months, in the end I parted company with the cab that this would’ve sat handsomely atop GLWTS🤦
  6. So I’ve got the following kit, if any one is interested I’m happy to bring some/any of it along: Sadowsky Will Lee 4 Sadowsky UV70 Oly white ’69 Jazz Xotic Chuck Rainey XP4 Lakland Duck Dunn Marshall VBA400 Aguilar DB750 MarkBass F1 Trace Elliot RAH600SMX Mesa Boogie TT800 Orange AD200B Barefaced Big Twin 2 Aguilar GS412 Pete😊
  7. I'd like to come along to this - haven't been to a bass bash for a while, not sure I'd want to demo my chops either but have a few bits I can bring along. 🙂
  8. To each their own I guess - aside from a Genz Benz I tried once (probably due to a lack of headroom), I've never been unable to get a decent (to my ears at least) tone out of an amp? YMMV
  9. For me it would be the Boogie - only because I've never tried one 🙂
  10. He never ceases to amaze me - sometimes we'll do 4 or 5 AC/DC covers in the second set - you'd think he'd have a sore throat at the end of the night but hasn't done so yet!? We did Thunderstruck before that one.... 🙂
  11. Hmm, I’m not really that familiar with sharing Facebook videos to be honest, it was a live video from my phone on my mic stand - I’ll have another look to see whether I can suss out what it doesn’t work😊 Give it another go, I’ve changed to public - hopefully that should do it😊
  12. It was a first time outing for Sarum’s Lot at Laarsens Bar in Basingstoke last night, a reasonable crowd turned up and seemed to enjoy what we churned out, we’ve been invited back and a couple approached us to do a private party for them. Glad to have the spring upon us but am feeling a tad jaded having got to bed at 3am and then being on Grampy duties this morning….😴😴 https://www.facebook.com/peter.brown.92317/videos/6058598330891437/
  13. We played at Boscombe Rec Club, it is where we rehearse for free and part of the agreement is we give them two gigs a year for free, it's a shame to see a recreation club so poorly supported by their members, I'm sure it if we to close there'd be uproar. Not overly busy but the few that were there seemed to appreciate us, a fairly early finish was welcome. IMG_0184.MOV IMG_0188.MOV
  14. Sadly they just don’t seem to promote any bands that play there, not what I’d consider properly at least, I’ve tended to promote when we’ve played there as I live locally and posted on local notice boards etc - it’s a shame really because we’ve had some good nights in there, despite the location being a bit middle of nowhere.
  15. I have one of these on a P Bass bitsa - it's a really nice neck to play, hopefully this one will be equally good. 🙂
  16. “used...not ubused...lightly gigged” I'd hate to think what he considers 'Roadworn'!?
  17. Still available🙂
  18. Just in from our gig at The Angel Inn, Andover - we had a great night, a few of our loyal following turned up, so that always helps, there was a mix of people, some wanted to sit at tables and watch the band/chat with their pals, others wanted to dance and sing, we even had a young couple that we're heading to the Indian for dinner and were drawn in to the pub and stayed all night (they had packets of crisps and pickled eggs for their dinner, washed down with gin and beer😳😷) Looking forward to a double header next weekend😀
  19. That's one of my locals, played there many times and can be a great gig😎🙂
  20. VBA400 FTW - gigged mine again last Saturday, just immense!😎🤘
