  1. I've been umming and ahhing as to whether or not I can drag my backside out of bed (as I'll be gigging the night before and it'll end up being a late one) but put me down as confirmed - can't take it with me 😄
  2. Unbelievable Jeff! I’d been on the look out for one of these for months, in the end I parted company with the cab that this would’ve sat handsomely atop GLWTS🤦
  3. Uncle Jack played at The Foresters Arms in Andover last night, it’s one of those venues that can either be really really good or indifferent, with punters disengaged - thankfully last night was really good! A good sized crowd continued to swell as the evening went on, the gremlins that seemed to plague my IEM’s last outing didn’t manifest so that was cool, and gratefully no excessively oiled up punters spilled beer over kit - so all in all a great night. We all played well, the singer (who is depping for us from the second band I’m in) is starting to enjoy himself and is familiarising himself with how we’ve changed certain song structures - it’s probably the first gig I’ve really enjoyed in the last 4 months with that band😊👍🏻 A little snippet taken by our rhythm guitarist: https://m.facebook.com/groups/49274076451/permalink/10159806882926452/
  4. Agreed - shame really, I do like these and regret parting with mine🙄☹️
  5. Sarum’s Lot played at The White Hart, Bishopstone near Salisbury - they had planned a Sausage and Cider fest (what’s not to like?). We ended up playing inside since the weather was against us (seems like pretty much everywhere has rain yesterday), a god turn out, got rebooked and had the offer of a couple of private parties which are always welcome, thoroughly enjoyable despite us not being quite at our best.
  6. A good weekend for me, Sarum’s Lot (classic rock covers) played at a Pizzeria in Salisbury on Friday evening, played outside under a gazebo due to the usual British summertime weather - unusual place to play and all a little last minute but we advertised it well on all of the usual social media outlets and had a good turnout, quite a few of our regulars were there and by the end of the evening the crowd around the market square has swollen to around 150 or so, we all played well and have been rebooked to play another couple of Friday evenings there, so that’s cool. Saturday night Uncle Jack (jukebox band) played at The Constitutional Club in Chippenham, a completely different affair to the night before but great fun nevertheless, 130 tickets sold so we had a good night, I had a few technical gremlins with my IEM’s but got through it unscathed.
  7. The Hamsters - what a great band they were👍
  8. Don’t think this will be here long, if I hadn’t just bought one….GLWTS😊
  9. Some proper Bassface going on in that! 🙂
  10. I purchased it online from the US, I’ve been after one for a while and was getting the same response from every supplier (owing to their Mesa dealer agreement they wouldn’t ship outside the US) then last Thursday I enquired with another supplier over there who was happy to ship to the UK - sent the international funds transfer Friday AM, and it was tracked/arrived safely today. I’ve tried it this evening with my Aguilar GS412 and it sounds great, everything I’d hoped for and more, also got a Barefaced Big Twin that I use, looking forward to trying it in anger, although the rack Mount kit hasn’t arrived yet…. Currently on back order with Mesa Boogie and, try as I might, I couldn’t find any availability anywhere else. Mesa have said the back order should clear in approx 2 to 3 weeks.
  11. Wow! Just love it! Very obviously early days but just had 30 minutes with it and love the ability to have the two channels set up, one for a utility/general profile/EQ and then the Boogie channel for more of a boosted/overdriven channel. Straight out the box I like it a lot, keen to see how it will sit in the band mix but first impressions are impressive. Well worth the money IMHO😎😁👍🏻🤘
  12. Is it home time yet? DHL just dropped this off for me to play with later…. Can’t wait!
  13. Sarum's Lot had a cracking gig in Qudos Bar & Grill in Salisbury. We haven't played there for around three years as the pub decided they were going to concentrate on food and B&B's etc, it's a great venue, very close to the City centre and the place was quite busy when we arrived, and continued to fill up nicely whilst we set up. Lots of regular followers ensured the gig was one to remember - singing along and dancing from the off, it was a fantastic night and I'm really looking forward to returning there in November. No photos sadly 🙂

  16. I'd like to come along to this - haven't been to a bass bash for a while, not sure I'd want to demo my chops either but have a few bits I can bring along. 🙂
  17. To each their own I guess - aside from a Genz Benz I tried once (probably due to a lack of headroom), I've never been unable to get a decent (to my ears at least) tone out of an amp? YMMV
  18. For me it would be the Boogie - only because I've never tried one 🙂
