Hope you getting on with the TT800, Dave?

Great work - well done Sir!😊 Which pub in Bristol out of interest?

I've still got my VBA400 - I love using it, but only use it sparingly now with my GS412 in larger venues, I do like the tonal variations available and wouldn't class it as a one trick pony - each to their own of course 🙂

I've always worn slim fit/skinny jeans - in my youth I knew things were cooking on stage when I could feel the pressure waves on my jeans😆 - I used two Trace Elliott 4x10's and an AH300SMX. No wonder I have tinnitus now...

Thunderous - probably the noise I’d make when trying to move those cabs… https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/176613990468?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=JgZzq6V-SL-&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=f-Sex3R3TOu&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Siren played The Pig and Whistle in Melksham last night, I’d forgotten just how small the set up is there, I’d been feeling rough all day and had dosed up on the Lemsip Max Strength but still felt awful. Tried singing but that was out the question about 6 songs in, so quite nice just to be able to play without having to worry about singing, a reasonable sized crowd was there, lots of positive feedback from the punters, rebooked for next year and home for about 12:45.

Looks a great venue 🙂

That sucks big time - when I was involved with a band and found out the guitarist was taking the lion's share of the fee I was totally cheesed off, needless to say I had a chat with the drummer and it seems we were being paid X whilst he was paying himself Y, when I challenged him as to why we were told he did all the gig booking and so thought it only reasonable that he took more. Sum of the parts and all that came to mind, but as said neither me nor the drummer hung around long after that. Hope you find something quickly 🙂

Hmm, I've been on the receiving end of similar - needless to say I didn't hang around long after finding out. Is the guitarist the main gig finder/booker?

Uncle Jack, the original and best live jukebox band, * are looking for a replacement bass player following me handing in my notice. They are a great bunch of friendly guys with no egos in the band, they play regularly around 2 gigs per month (sometimes 3) across Wiltshire, Hampshire & Dorset and they cover loads of popular covers across the years. Presented in a jukebox format, whereby the punters choose what the band play, it’s a great gig that remains fresh and is updated regularly. I’ve attached a sample jukebox that I had to hand, there’s been some additions and deletions to the list since then, if you fancy it please PM me and I’ll pass on the contact details😊👍🏻 The website: http://unclejackweb.co.uk/index.html Sample Jukebox Jukebox July '22.docx

Some really good advice on this thread, when I started playing I always used a pick, then I joined a blues band and the aggressive tones produced weren’t appropriate and the band leader asked me to play fingerstyle, it seemed to put me back massively when I tried at first, but as others have said, for me the only way to get it was to practice over and over, slowly at first, crossing strings is really important and alternating between index and middle fingers, nowadays my right hand technique takes care of itself and I don’t even think about it. Also. I tend to anchor my thumb on top of the pick up cover, I find having an anchor point really helped me get a feel for what I wanted to achieve and was probably the most important thing to building up speed. Be patient, it will happen, don’t give up - it’s totally worth persevering with😊👍🏻

Future Impact V1, has had updates, nice condition, no box, £200 plus postage. Origin Effects Cali 76 compressor, unmarked, barely used, original box included, £200 plus postage. (Now Sold) Sonic Research Turbo Tuner, near mint, original box included, £90 plus postage. Peterson Strobostomp HD, near mint, unboxed £90 plus postage. (Now Sold) ZVEX Mastotron, nice condition, unboxed, £85 plus postage. Subdecay Echobox, nice condition, £120 plus postage. Fuzzrocious Demon, seems like this was forever on my board until I finally found a Tech 21 Leeds pedal, good condition, some minor cosmetic chips but good condition, for reasons of full disclosure the power socket feels a little loose, but works fine - I had it on good authority that replacing the power socket wouldn’t be too onerous or costly, hence price of £85 plus postage. I also have a well used Dunlop Crybaby 105Q, it’s at my studio, well used for around 20 years or so, still works fine but I landed a Geezer Butler Wah and prefer that tbh. Can take photos on Monday if anyone interested, £50 plus postage.
