1. Bloody hell, what a mess.Is there any way I can change the title to read "Mods, please delete"Even better, delete it myself.According to "general discussion forum" I can't delete it myself.
2. Hi BassChatters, I've decided to trade my 1988 streamer 4-string because I think I need a 5-string bass. Trade only, no cash(unless it's way above my valuation ;-) This bass is worth 900GBP to me. Another Warwick is what I really want, but who knows...you may tempt me! Merry Christmas all. yours, Phil. Edited because images didn't work the first time around.

4. Just swapped a bass for a portable studio. Within 4 days both items had made their way across the North Sea to their new homes. Like a well-oiled machine. Cheers, Tim. Phil
5. The beauty of the J-Retro is you can switch it to passive to save the battery without having to remove the cable.
6. Hi everyone, I'm new to recording so here's a newbie question. There's a Tascam 2488 on it's way to me and it has 4 x XLR Mic inputs and 4 x Line inputs. I want to use it to record our rehearsals. I'll use the balanced mic inputs for vocals,drums,guitar.(mic-xlr cable-tascam) I'll use the line inputs for bas, keys, maybe guitar. Am I right in thinking I need a TRS cable from the line out of my amp to one of the line inputs of the Tascam 2488? Cheers in advance. Phil.
7. I placed an order a few years ago for a Markbass CMD210 cover. When it came it ws exellent quality and fit perfectly. BUT, it took ages and the contact was minimal to say the least. Best of luck with your order Phil.
8. Too long to remember. 'Hey, remember that band that played the other night" 'What were they called again?' 'I charmed evil...something or other... erm!... Oh, never mind' I was thinking of booking them for blah blah blah. I quite like The New Moon.
9. Two six's is twelve; that's better than 9 Pete!
10. Still got the Genz ;-) When I hear, " It shouldn't blow the amp up, but ...", then it's too risky. I'll have to keep my eye open for a secondhand BFCompact.
11. No your not missing the point. I didn't know that it would be ok. I was scared of damaging something. Turns out the only thing that is damaged is my brain ;-) Thanks for that pete, I'll give it a whirl. Phil.
12. Is there any way of playing my Trace V6 4Ohm over my Barefaced Midget 8Ohm? I was considering selling the V6 and eden 4Ohm 4x10 but after A/Bing it against my GenzBenzShuttle6 and BarefacedMidget I dropped the idea. The V6/Eden was just so much warmer than the Genz/Midget. I would like to hear the V6 over Barefaced but the V6 is 4 or 2Ohm switchable and the Midget is 8 Ohm :-( Any ideas? I could buy a compact; 8 and 8 = 4 but it also = skint! Cheers, Phil.
13. Fancy one of these? Yamaha TRBII Phil.
14. Alice Russel does an exellent Brown Sugar(it was on a compilaation CD on Mojo magazine about a year ago) I personally enjoy this much more than Mick and the boys. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KrnSfCxwPRs&feature=related She also does a good Seven Nation Army; http://alicerussell.com/#/music/tracks/seven-nation-army-featuring-nost This is gonna be one of my favourite threads! Phil.

19. Hi Hybass, Fancy a swap for a Trace V6 ? Yours, Phil.
20. The thing with the V6 is it's liftable but I don't always have the time to follow the necessary health and safety stretching procedure.
21. Anouk with a reggae version of one of her hits 'Nobody's Wife', Solo begins at 3:43, not technically difficult but so mellow I just love it. Love the bass in this too, shame they didn't have the musical nouse to realise the bass is the driving force of the song(other than vocals) and then to film the silky smooth bass. :-( enjoy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gq1RFUN08qw Phil
22. Nice rig S9 S12, I'm playing my Shuttle6/Midget much more often than myV6/Eden410 at the moment. If Ii can manage to sell the V6 rig I'll be adding a Compact for a rig of DOOM!
23.
Bass goes 'boom'. Mids go 'grrrrrr'. Treble goes 'sizzz' and occasionally 'clack'. Seriously.
That's fantastic! I want an amp with Boom,Grrrr and Sizzz. The best explination I've heard.
