1. That's true, I use my English bought electrical stuff here in Holland and there's no problem. I do have an American amp that needs a transformer to boost the voltage from the American 110V to the European 230V
2. I've just had a couple of rehearsals and I had the volume at 3pm and our rehearsals aren't particularly noisy. IMHO at 8Ohm it's not enough for a stage monitor. I was playing through a Midget(8Ohms).Thinking of getting a Compact, that would definitely get the most out of the BH250.
3. Fuses are all good, smelled like a capacitor. I'd like to take it in to give it an MOT.
4. About 3 months, bought it secondhand before the guy moved to Italy.
5. I was in the rehaersal room earlier than usual, to set up mic's and wot not, for a recording.I had a little time over and was noodling around when IT happend. I opend the high-pass filter on my bass's onboard pre amp only to hear a steadily increasing whistle, and then nothing. My amp had died. The amp is an SWR Mo' Bass. I had it in mono mode with a 4Ohm cab, all within the user manuals paramiters. The bass was an ACG with pre-amp filter. After the whistle there was nothing only the stench of unhappy electronics. Just hope it's not too expensive to repair. I sold my other amp, a Trace V6 a few months ago ;-( Gutted!
6. Now on fleabay for 500 Euro's, great pictures of the valves. You won't find a V6 cheaper than that. Not a fully functioning beauty like mine anyway.
7. Just put mine on Ebay. For 500Euro it's a bargain. Valves were replaced(KT88) last summer. It's just too loud for me. 400w sounds louder than my Mo'Bass. All valve monster at a reasonable price.Cheers,Phil. 8. This isn't bad for 500Euro + 40 Euro postage!Always wanted a V6 from Trace Elliot. 9. I forgot to mention that the amp is in the Netherlands and that 10 pounds will be donated to our very own BassChat. Thanks for the forum:-)

11. Stumbled across this site - http://www.nymphusa.com/tele/yswtct-kisekae-e.asp#Kisekae VIM Pro System . You can use different colours/materials and see how they look together, but it's limited to a 4 string precision . Does anyone know of similar sites that give more options? Especially a 5-string jazz option.
12. Hi guys, I want to split my signal and have my dry signal going to one cab and my wet signal going to another, but I'm not sure what cab combinations would serve me best. So how are the people that split their signal doing it ? At the moment I have a David Eden 410xlt 4Ohm and a Barefaced Midget 1x12 8Ohm. My amp is an SWR Mo'Bass which has a nifty Dual/Stereo mode where the volume/gain of both wet and dry signal can be adjusted seperately. I was thinking of either adding a Compact to the Midget or a adding an Eden 210xst to the existing 410xlt. I'll try the two existing cabs this week at rehearsal (Midget and Eden 41xlt) and see how it sounds.
13. Ed bought aSSI from me. It was a pleasure to do buisness with him. Not relevant, but he's got a cool accent ( and an exellent bass :-) Cheers Ed, Phil.
14. For Sale-GenzBenz Shuttle 6.0 with shoulder bag. 350Euro. 15.
I guess I should nominate Metallica's And Justice For All (the album) - remastering or enhancing discovered a bit of bass! For instance this version of Blackened...
I'd been listening to Master of Puppets daily and when ...And Justice was released(I was 16) I was disappointed with the lack of bass. Love this mix, though! Thank you very much Blue You just made my day.
16. I no longer have the SSI, it's on it's way to Scotland
Hi Bloc Riff Nut! Nice Streamer you got there and exactly what I´m looking for. For trade I can offer you a 1988 Thumb NT5. It´s in good used condition. You might be surprised that this is my first post here. But I created an account for no other reason than reading this post. I´m a member in the Warwick forum as well. Same member name there. I can try to take some better pics if you like. For the moment I got this:
Wish i'd seen this earlier That is just what I was looking for. I ended up selling it. It is now on it's way to Scotland.
17. So it's all in the fingers and not the €€€€'s of gear. Thanks Basschat you just saved me a fortune. On the other hand, now I know I'm always gonna sound average :-/
18. Just kiddin' I'm no fan of those where the top horn is fused to the neck, what d'ya call 'em? It just seems wrong to me.
19. Warwick SSI, those things are hideous....;-)
20. What about these; Lady Linn - I don't wanna dance. http://m.youtube.com...h?v=rKZxfs9gL7Q And Minguz - Hang on/Get it on.http://m.youtube.com...h?v=L9IQXnpRiu0 Merry christmas!
21. The depth of knowledge on any given BassChat subject never ceases to amaze me. Very intresting reading, it's a shame it didn't all stick. For me it boil's down to this; I've got a valve rig at the rehearsel room, very warm and creamy,300trace V6 watts into Eden4x10, cost 1600 quid and weighs 55kg. When I fancy a change or don't fancy lifting the Beast it's the solid state 600GenzBenz watts into a BarefacedMidget, cost 800 quid and weighs 15 kg, can be as punchy as you like sir! It's a question of taste really, do you take the jazz or precision with flats? Nice debate, Phil
22.
Interested in a trade with a Fender Jazz Bass Deluxe (MIA, 2008)?
Maybe, if it's a 5''er. I'll wait and see if I get a Warwick offer first. It'll hurt to see this go!
23. Thanks, it's actually from 1987. In the description I said '88 but you can see the 1987 stamp on the headstock. This plays and feels better than any basses I've ever had, that's why I would ideally like to swap for aWarwick 5'er.
