1. So is the 5'er only in black/maple? :-/
2. Sweeeeet! Am so getting one :'D
3. maybe they have changed it or atleast with the studio models??? i think that guitar would be a good, yet, expensive introduction to baritone guitars if you havent had a guitar yet. BSB
4. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=KHUb-V3HUzM Good sample of what Gibson came up with last year. For me, check out buckethead, he plays a custom les Paul which is a 28" scale, instead of a 25.5 or 30". Sounds immense. James Hetfield has used one too But I think, notoriously, mike mushok from staind has used many baritone guitars as well as signature models. I've owned a gretsch baritone, hefty piece of kit but tone and feel to it was awesome, like mentioned. . . Use a capo and you have a guitar or naturally play bass lines on it.
5. I LIKE IT! i know it resembles basses or particular parts of others but this is quite unique and i have GAS with Lakeland's as it is . just a shame you can't justify the prices these days, as to how i remember they cost BSB
6. weird bet they feel nice to play and light enough for the guys on here with back issues and problems with heavy basses. one thing i want to know is . . . with not having much of a body, would this affect the tone as compared to a full size bass with exact same hardware? BSB
7.
Just not sure about those older bridges man. These look great though, apart from that.
Surely, that is a Gibson though?! 0_o I've tried looking elsewhere for these and can't find an accurate picture :-/ Id personally see how they are like before I buy another Epi and Mod it. The bridges do need an upgrade to the hipshots
8. Pretty hard basses to get your hands on these days, especially coming from a production line from Fender you'd think there would be a few. Killer bass is all I can comment
9. Never owned or played one but in my opinion, all musicman basses are worth it (or at least as of today's date) They look very neutral for a 6 string bass without looking too "metal" and a variable tone to follow, I think this is an ideal 6 string along with the Yamaha lines. Hope all goes well
10. I'll start the bid at £1
11. Hahaha nice try ;P down weekend after next to see my ma', if it's still around I'll try and come around. Could try and meet up at Dawson's, Liverpool if that's cool with you?
12. I MAY purchase this, could be a tad out of my range at the mo'
13. If I didn't have one already, I'd soon pound on this. Beautiful bass and a bargain indeed! Have a bump from me too BSB
14. Offers? Gets withdrawn tonight
15. Everyone has to start somewhere, don't feel pressured that you have to play anything good, your not there to show off your skills and you could always ask for headphones
16.
At least you'll be able to re-sell a 'name' brand for more money if you don't like it.
That's the idea
17. Price is too high for me, super nice bass and an alright condition. Have a BUMP!
18. Bumping it ups while on my course Nice sunny day, £50 off?
19.
Ive set few of them up but not too sure what one you are on about, playability is ok on them, but without upgrading it, i wouldn't expect high end sound from them if you get me, wiring seems to me a bit on cheap side too as i had too solder few jacks and pots. Are they worth the money, I think that they do for the price.
+1 You get what you pay for from Thomann.de unless it's branded and you know what your expecting. I'd suggest looking at the 'Named' alternatives to that bass you mentioned and no doubt, end up more satisfied. BSB
20. It seems your not satisfied and however you mod this bass, won't ever be Personally, depending on what your after for your next bass. Budget it and see how much you can get for your bass and then you should get an answer. I know before, I've tried to do so and ended up selling them next to nothing and ending up further from getting that bass I wanted and regret selling altogether. All upto you bud but I wish you well however this turns out ^_^ BSB
21. Ps: As far as Precision basses and Ashdown amps go, check out Nate Mendel from Foo Fighters, prime example of what your probably looking for
