1. I understand, It's all down to personal preference otherwise we'd all only need 1 bass I just think these days, squier are getting better by the series/model, proven fact , while fender aren't improving by any standards: take the latest series . . . A four year old guitar with a change of pick ups and a "slap in the face" price rise. In my opinion and dispite not playing one, I can only assume the PW sig is a good bass for old Squiers but they have come a long way since then. I'm neither a fan of him or Matt Freeman but given the choice, I know my money would be well invested in the latest model and for what it offers, I wouldn't even consider moving up onto a Mexican Fender. I really dig this bass as will many BC'ers agree but i can only advise you to try as many basses (and amp combinations) as you possibly can before you spend a penny. All the best with it mate and let me know how you get on BSB
2. I think £200 is a decent price
3. Bit of a price leap but the Matt Freeman (rancid) sig is super and also available in black/maple
4.
How about a Warwick Alien - not bad for just under £350...
That's super fly! May look into getting one someday
5.
You are correct, I hadn't noticed this at all It is damaged, I haven't noticed it as it never goes out of tune so I never touch them! It doesn't effect the bass at all, it just seems to be a bit tight is all. Reduced price yay, thanks for spotting it though buddy, I wouldn't have noticed till it was too late, I don't want to be that asshole
No worries bud, I wasn't sure either but I didn't want you to have an unhappy customer when it eventually sells could be worth getting I touch with a Spector dealer and see if they can order you a replacement. I know it's spending money to gain some but could avoid a price drop. Could even be less than you imagine All the best with your sale, BSB
6. Top left tuner in the pic, is it damaged? The bottom of the tuner key is sticking out 0_o

16.
There's not much happening in Shropshire these days then.
Haha not a lot, just a nicer place to live compared to the north, IMO
17. Fender 2012 models Well here they are . . . . Disappointed to be honest :-| same bass but with Fender Custom Shop pickups. Fender milking us once again, think I'll move on now.
18. Hey guys, According to Andertons music, Fender are discontinuing all guitars and basses from the '08 USA Standards to "make way for new lines". Just wondered if anyone has heard or read anything of what they're bringing out? As a Fender player, I'm super excited to find out whats coming, hopefully, nothing like the crap they've brought out recently. Here's slink to support it: Andertons and grab yourself a bargain :') BSB
19. Looking at the headstock and neck finish and overall appearance: from what ive seen from Jap basses seems legit. However, I've never seen the "foto flame" finish before. Hope it turns out well for you
20. I played the fiesta red Pbass and liked it, the worn feel to a classic bass is a match made in heaven but the price didn't justify it, considering for the same price I could purchase a USA Pbass and "gently" knock it round abit yet, I tried the blonde telecaster at Salop Music, Shrewsbury. I did almost leave with it if it wasn't for an empty bank account XD Ffor £750 I really thought it was worth it. . . Another example of Fender making better version guitars than basses in the same series???
21. Never really thought much of the Dolphin basses, think I've got GAS now

24. Withdrawing in 6 days unless I can get a straight, cash sale . . . . BUMP for the meantime
25.
Sorry for the delay in the reply, i dont check the post as often as i used to. It sounds great the valves break up really nice. Don't be put of by the 30w this thing is loud and isnt a problem for small medium sized venues, any bigger you can always di it.
valve amps always tend to seem louder than they quote thanks for the reply, ill start saving my pennies up
